This Capri Blue Pura car air freshener is the best scent diffuser I’ve used in my car. It uses scent pods instead of oil or water, eliminating any potential for leaks. The included Volcano scent pod smells fantastic—light, clean, & not overpowering or perfumy.It’s rechargeable with the included Type-C/USB cable & operates with a single touch button on top. The auto sensor detects when the car is in motion, automatically powering it on, & turns it off again when the car sits still for a while. It’s impressively accurate, even detecting when I first get inside, powering on as soon as I open the door.You can adjust the scent strength via the free app or by pressing the button. A light indicates the level: fully lit for full strength, halfway for medium, a third for light, & off when it’s off. The app also notifies you when the pod is low & makes reordering a breeze.It fits perfectly in the cup holder—almost too perfectly 😆. That’s my only gripe. It’s such a tight fit, & at a height level with the top of my cup holder, it’s hard to grab when needed. I can’t get my fingers around it, & there’s nothing to grip. Adding texture grips to the top or making it slightly taller would help. Thankfully, I have a cup holder liner & could remove the whole thing to get it out—otherwise, it’d be stuck. This might vary by car model, but in the new Honda CRV, it’s tricky to handle.Otherwise, this is a great scent diffuser. My car smells amazing with a consistently pleasant aroma, & there’s no worry about oil puddles in my cup holder. There’s no mist, no noise—just fragrance. A very cool device.

My wife hasn't really been a big fan of the essential oil deal, but she has always liked having a car air freshener. My sister has been a huge fan of Pura, so I decided to risk getting this for my wife for Christmas. With a scent of "Volcano" I was a little hesitant that she'd like the scent. It sounds more like a scent that would be more manly vs the "The iconic, cult-favorite scent with the perfect blend of tropical citrus and sugary notes" that Pura describes it as.It comes in a nicely packaged box, which, frankly, for the price it should. There is a QR code included which takes you to the website and basically instructs you to download the app. My wife wasn't too thrilled about that, as "it's stupid to have to always download an app, give them all your info, etc" so she was a little annoyed. I went ahead and just downloaded the Pura app and set it up for her, so she didn't have to worry about it.The app does, however, give quite a bit of info about the diffuser. It allows you to set the level of diffusion, shows how long it has left to last, etc. My wife wasn't terribly excited about it, but I think she's been liking it the more she's used it. She did like the scent in the end, but she was a little annoyed about how all the instructions say to download the app to know how to use it...yet the app doesn't really give you instructions.We found a video, and it looks like you push the top button to have it emanate the scent. It does, it turns out, also have motion sensing, which is a cool feature. My wife noticed it lights up as you walk by.Overall, pretty cool. My wife did struggle getting the scent cartridge in correctly (not sure myself why, I did it easily), but it's been a cool product that I think we're both happy with in the end.

I am very, very aware of the Pura line of products! It also just so happens that the fragrance "Volcano", which is by Capri Blue, has been the signature scent of my home for the past 10 years.Pura as a brand, what they do is they offer designer scents. So, Volcano by Capri Blue, is originally a candle at Anthropologie that has since branched out in many directions - hand soap, room diffusers, perfume, lotions, body wash, etc. Anywho, so what Pura does is they take the fragrances that are already established and loved by customers, and offer a way to fragrance your car (this product), or fragrance your home (wall diffusers). Thus, there are MANY fragrances to choose from, that are tried and true with the public over long periods of time. I'm sure that Pura works out some kind of deal with the owner of the fragrances, though I don't know enough to try and explain that. All I know is your favorite fragrances are offered by Pura!Commenting on the fragrance that comes in this kit - it is my all time favorite and it's the smell that reminds my friends of me. Thus, I am elated to bring that into my vehicle as well. Volcano I would argue is prooooobably the most popular fragrance of all time, when we talk about candles. My point being there is a good change YOU, or whoever you are buying this for, will love it. I burn the candles, I made a DIY room spray, and now I've got Pura to bring it into my car. In my 10 years of associating with this fragrance, I have yet to have anyone dislike it. People LOVE Volcano!!I've been eying the Pura brand for a long time - though this is my first time owning a product from these folks, I know a lot about the brand and was already a huge fan. Testing this product, they absolutely live up to the hype.I will continue buying re-fills for this product, from their extensive collection of fragrances we know and love. I'd also buy this as a gift (and I almost did last Christmas) - you can feel confident that your loved one will LOVE the "Volcano" pod that it comes with, like beyond a shadow of a doubt. Might not be the most masculine fragrance ever, but in my experience, my guy-friends still love it! Even if not, there are SO many fragrances to choose from for the refills.... I mean, the most iconic fragrances one can think of when it comes to home fragrance... This is a product with versatility, a great gift for the picky-person in your life!!
