Lots of features, lots of options
One of the best things about this air fryer is the fact that there is so much you can do with it. In general, that's one of the great things about air fryers in general but this punches it up a notch. I have yet to use it for all it's functions, but so far I've roasted chicken, baked breads, toasted bread, and broiled steak. The only thing I would say is, adjust your times accordingly. The default times and temps are generous and may overcook your food. That said, with adjusted times, I roasted my chicken perfectly. To perfection. I could have cried it was so good. Same with the steak.Since this, was an upgrade over a smaller air fryer, the capacity of this one is huge. Part of the reason I bought it. Because it offers both a upper and lower heating element it is much easier to cook in.The weight of the unit isn't much heavier than the one I replaced, considering it is bigger. Other than the normal initial smell, there was no long-term odor issues. The only long-term smells are the foods you cook. While this was my first appliance purchase in a long time, I felt the price was justified for the features. I had been looking at others, and with a holiday deal on this unit that brought it in under $90 it was a steal, IMHO.I may never use this for all it's intended uses, but so far it is a joy to use. The digital controls are easy to use and intuitive. It makes using the air fryer a set it and forget it appliance, more so compared to my previous air fryer that I had to rotate the food or risk under cooking on one side or over cooking on the other.Note: when cooking chicken pieces without the basket/rotisserie, turn off the rotisserie to reduce noise when cooking. By default it's automatically turned on. You'll need to do this each time if you use the presets.

Versatile well-designed oven & accessories with enormous potential
My first attempt with an air fryer. I wanted something big because most of them looked like they were very small and could not handle large meals or cooking for a full week’s worth of meals. One of the first things I wanted to try was to cook (air fry) bacon. This baby will do a full pound of thick sliced bacon with ease. I used the two shallow mesh trays and then just switched them out about ½ way through. The top of the oven is definitely a hot spot so if you fill it up, you’ll need to adjust expectations to keep from burning. Don’t forget to save the grease in the bottom pan so you can fry your eggs in it later!I found that the cook times in the recipe book were no-where near where they needed to be, too low. The user’s manual has a more useful guide IMHO. Also, the recipe book has NO PAGE numbers on the pages!?!? Who thought that one up? But I suspect there are probably some very good places on-line to learn more about things to do with an air fryer…Haven’t yet had time to try out more of the functions but my first experience with the bacon was great. The mesh trays came out looking nasty from a cleaning standpoint but BOY did they clean up easy. Quick scrub with a brush & soap and toss them in the dish machine. I believe they also used some very high-quality materials on the parts. They conduct heat extremely well which means faster cooking. But they also cool down incredibly fast. I did notice that some of the burnt-on stuff in the bottom tray (pan?) did not come clean very easily at all. Even after a cycle in the dish washer. The inside of the oven, though, is a breeze to get clean. Same high-end metals that come clean with just some light soap and a paper towel.Have used it to fry 3+ lbs of boneless skinless chicken breast at once. Chop it up in pieces & marinate it in some olive oil for a few hours. About 9 min @ 400 degrees, then turn the chicken, then maybe another 6-9 min at a little lower temp. I tried several different types of bread for toasting with mixed results. It really just dries the bread out. Maybe go with a real high temp setting & shorter duration. When I looked at all the parts that came with this, I thought it was way too much stuff. And more stuff than I wanted to store. But I also wanted the frying basket so ordered the 3-piece accessory kit (basket, baking pan, & toasting rack for $30). Now that I have everything, I think it’s worth it to have so much more flexibility. All components seem to be extremely well-made materials that will conduct heat well & clean up easily. Not sure what all the fuss is on these reviews about the digital oven interface and all the buttons & numbers. It’s actually fairly simple and all the different buttons give you ease of fast flexible settings. As long as they don’t wear out, I’m perfectly happy with the interface. The entire oven itself is very light IMHO. Easily picks up & stores in a cabinet. Some mention it getting hot but even when it’s running I don’t think it puts out much heat at all. In fact one of my biggest reasons for wanting this was my regular oven puts out so much extra heat every time I cook it’s just working my a/c overtime. This little baby has definitely reduced that footprint.Lastly, I’d say aromas from this are FAR less than conventional cooking. Especially for frying chicken & bacon. Which is a HUGE plus! As soon as I’m done baking, I hit the kitchen with some air freshener and within an hour the smells are pretty much gone. Perhaps one reason I didn’t fry chicken so often was that the smell just seemed to permeate everything for days. It’s hard to tell how this device will do in the long haul but I am REALLY glad I bought this air frying oven. I’m definitely looking forward to heading to my favorite market that has a top-notch meat counter. Gonna get me some NY Strips, marinate & season them, and go to town! Hope this review has helped clarify this complex little batch of tools & this oven.Oh, and one last thing I forgot to mention. I ordered this on a Friday night, and about 2 pm on Sat it was at my door! Wow! Amazon Prime ROCKS!

Works great! Excited to see the other functions
The packaging was well protected and arrived with no damage. It came with all the accessories, air fryer and dehydrator cook books. I skimmed through the cook books and they seem great. Super simple, feverish ingredients and easy to follow. Definitely got some inspirations from them with my own ideas. I got this air fryer because of the rotisserie and dehydrator functions. I only used it once to reheat leftovers. Worked great with equal temperature all around and done in 5 minutes. Will give updates on the other functionsUpdate 1/19/24- air fryer still works great. But finding some of the quirks. The beeping is obnoxiously loud. I couldn’t find a way to turn off the beeping without taking it apart ( doing this will probably void any “warranty” ) I found a video on how to take the top off and found the buzzer on a circuit board. I took electrical tape and covered the top of the buzzer. This lowered the volume to a very comfortable level. When cooking with multiple trays, the top one will cook much, much faster than the bottom tray. The tumbler is great for roasting veggies and potatoes. But it very difficult to clean. The last thing I would bring up is the dehydrator setting. You cannot change the temperature ( it stays at 130) but you can change the duration. I got this air fryer to try my hand at dehydrating. And not all my recipes have a temp of 130. You could set it manual and change the temperature but the longest duration is a hour while the process can take anywhere to 4-10 hours. Depending on what you are dehydrating.I would still give this a great rating considering the price. But this company makes a newer version of this airfryer with a second heating unit at the bottom. That probably helps to evenly heat multiple trays. If I didn’t buy this one, I probably would have got the newer one.
