Good for any age!
My friend and I are in our 70s and decided to learn chess. I got this book for kids thinking it would be easy to understand. I was right. Chess has been easy to learn, and we are having lots of fun.

Simple and understandable explanations
My dad taught me how to move the pieces when I was a child. As a teacher I taught my 2nd graders how to play chess. And that's my level of chess skill. (my hint: teach the kids one piece at a time and have them practice with that piece, then add one more piece once they've mastered the move. Start with pawns.) I glanced at text and immediately picked up a strategy I'd never considered. It will help me teach my grandkids to play.

A good book for all ages
This book is wonderful for basics for playing chess and then more complicated strategies. I bought it because my six-year-old grandson loves chess and I know only the basics. I am 82 years old, but with a chest set in this book, I went to town! So when my grandson came east to visit me, we had a good time playing chess.

About my head but may be right for you
It’s probably a good book but I’m not smart enough to understand it. Had to get my Chess teach to help.
