Nootie Progility Daily Calming Aid Chews for Dogs, Advanced Calming Support for Dogs with Melatonin, 90 Soft Chews

I use this for both my American bully (1.5 years old) and my pocket bully/bulldog mix (3 years old). They both have separation anxiety. I follow the directions on the package and give them the recommended amount an hour before I leave for work. They really like the taste. They are calm and chill the whole 10 hours I am gone. Works well, lasts all day, no adverse reactions. I've been using this product for them for about 6 months.

I honestly don't know if these are better than other calming supplements. I've tried some of them in the past for fireworks and storms and didn't find them to be much help. My 17 year old dog has some dementia now and gets edgy at night, sometimes up wandering and making trouble during the night. The vet recommends up to 5mg of melatonin and these contain 2.5 mg each. It allows us to give her one at bedtime, and another if another is needed during the night. I give it to her 30-60 minutes before bed and believe it is helping her go to sleep. Not sure if its the melatonin, or the combo of the other items, but since its helping, we'll keep using it.

Originally purchased the bar form of this in the pet store to try on my pup that has bad anxiety. They work wonders. They've got a chart that allows you to dose your pet by weight. Pup loves the taste like a treat. And best of all, she's calm!! They're soft so even dogs with chewing issues can chew them. Great quality and excellent value. Will continue to use these.

Great to calm.

These seem to be the only calming treats that help my dog relax in the car. Otherwise, he seems filled with anxiety and constantly barking. These help him to stay calm and even nap on long car rides. We’ve tried various other versions, but have come back to these as they are the most effective.

I bought to help calm my intact male down when a female is in heat. It helps take the edge off, but that’s about it. Perhaps it’s just my situation, but they didn’t last as long as I would have liked. He really wasn’t interested in eating them, but I was able to excite him enough that he did get them down.

Don’t waste your hard earned money on this placebo experiment. I gave the recommended dosage based off my bulldogs weight, but it didn’t work so I gave her an additional pill because she’s weighs just enough to be able to take 2 pills still nothing. That was after almost a couple hours. To make matters worse my dog didn’t even like the taste of these pills and she’s a bulldog she eats practically anything. These were so bad tasting to my dog that she wouldn’t eat them without being stuck in a greenie. What a waste of $40!

When storms are predicted and imminent, we give our dog a nugget of this calming chew. It really takes the edge off for him. No digging under the beds, tables and whatever. No uncontrollable shaking. It made us so sad to see him be so upset. Highly recommend this product. As far as taste and smell…he gobbles it down. No price is too high for his comfort!
