When using replacement bags, depending on the kind you get, sometimes the seal doesn't hold. I've learned to make a double seal and have no problems.

it took a few tries to get it right but I think I have it. cut the bag a little longer then you think you need. when you put stuff in the bag leave a little space around the edges to let air be sucked out of the bottom of the bag. make sure the opening of the bag that makes contact with with heating iron is clean and dry. crumbs or liquid will interfere with the seal quality. place the opening a little further in then you think it should. don't crowd the outside of the device, leave a little space between the contents of the bag and the outside lip of the device. I would say about an inch or so should do well. make sure the opening is in the well. hold it in place while setting the top down. hold the top down while sucking (where the contents of the bag is) and it works just fine. you don't need to hold it tight when sucking. a gorilla death grip is over kill. just press it down a bit to make sure the gasket seals around the bag. you'll be able to tell if it is working with in the 1st few seconds. If it is not collapsing or taking to long (seems to only need a few seconds, 10-30) the bag then stop it and reset the bag opening in the well. the time it takes to prep the next bag seems to be enough time to let it cool down.I've already gone through the small bags that came with the set. the small ones are little smaller then I would like at 8 inches wide (not sure if that is the inside or outside dimension), 9 would be better for me. the large bags are huge. I'll probably end up cutting them in half to make two bags. 8 will do as that seems to be what is readily available. I'm a single guy that goes to the wholesale club for frozen meat once a month or two and portions out serving sized pieces. The other use I plan on using it for is left overs. sealing them with out much or any suction to make the equivalent of boiling bags.This is my first time using a vacuum sealer and am impressed.

So excited it was a bit more compact then my old one. Plugged it in, went to seal bottom of bag, NOPE tried again score.Put my dry beans in tryed to vac nope, tried again it did vac but because the seal it put on the other end was not good it just kept on running and running and would never seal. This thing is junk, NOTE: it also says in the instructions to wait at least one minute between each use. WOW who has time for that.. I would not tell anyone to buy this, not worth the money.

Since I have gotten this sealing system I have used it many times. I was confused at first on how to use it, but once I got the hang of it I am able to use it with any problems. This sealer allows the sealing operation without first vacuuming all the air out. Useful when sealing items you don't want crushed before sealed.

Cannot seal for crap. I want my money back, and restitution to the planet creating this wasteful trash.

The vacuum sealer is the about right size as I expected. It does come with two sizes of bags that you can use which is a plus. I did not count how many bags it comes with but it seems plenty. I tried to vacuum and seal some cumin seeds that I have. It worked perfectly and super fast!

Very satisfied with the purchase. It doesn't provide very strong vacuum power as I expected. However, it's enough for my daily use. The auto vac&seal function is so convenient to use. The vacuum bags come with the machine have good quality. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.
