So Far - So Good...
I've never used this type of push-in wire connector before, although I've seen them used in the trade by others with mixed success. I finally decided to give it a try with a remodeling job where I had a lot of connections in several boxes and little room. Here's my experience:Wires must be stripped to the proper length. This is much more critical than with twist connectors (wire nuts). Too short and they won't make proper connection since they may not be able to insert fully, too long and you will have exposed bare wire which could make contact with other conductors or the box and equipment metal. Improper length is likely the main problem that people have had. The wire appears to make good contact inside the connector and the clear plastic allows you to see that (or if you need to push more wire in).You still need nearly as much free wire penetrating from the box. The two-wire connectors are easy to get aligned, but the multiple connectors need the wire length so you can get them pushed into the connector straight in and without bending the wire. I was unable to do this without using pliers except for the two-wire connectors, although with more experience it may become simpler. So unless you are really experienced, these are probably not faster. The real benefit is that (except for the two-wire connectors) these push-in connectors take much less room in the box, especially considering that with twist-type connectors, the wires must be all lined up parallel with each other for an inch or two before entering the connector. More than a couple of twist connectors containing three or more wires each and you are soon fighting for more box space. With these push-in connectors, each wire can bend in a different direction as soon as it leaves the conector.A final note: Removing solid wire from these connectors is easy: just rotate the wire while pulling it out. Stranded wires must be cut and the connector discarded and replaced.Amazon had the best price for the types that I needed, but if you only need a couple, you may be able to get a small selection from Lowes or Home Depot immediately and at less cost.

Lazy mans splice. Handy, for a great price.
I bought a few of these locally to give them a try. At first I thought these were for non-electricians that didn't know how to use a wire nut. Plus, they were kind of expensive. Then I did a lighting project that had me working on the ceiling, running lines to multiple fixtures from 1 box. between the reach, and the box filling up fast, it would have been a drag. But these EZ Connectors (as I call them) made it go much quicker and kept the box neater. I had some of the 4 wire connectors (these are the 2 wire option). It was a lot nicer using those than twisting 4 wires into a large wire nut. Especially as my basal arthritis does not appreciate applying torque with my thumbs.Another nice feature: At first I only needed 3 of the 4 connections. When I decided to add another fixture, It was a breeze to just slide the new wire in instead of disassembling the twisted wire assemblies.I realize it seems like I'm reviewing the 4 connector instead of this item. But my point is the same. I don't think I would pay for the convenience at the price these were available locally. When I saw these, it was a no-brainer. It's almost impossible to get a bad connection with these as compared to a wire nut, especially if using different gauge or stranded wire. So pick up a box of these, and theĀ Push Wire Connector 773-164 , and save yourself some time. And possibly some finger pain.

These work great. Really nice for tight spots when room in a box is at a premium. Wont ever use wire nuts again! Use Wago Lever Connectors for strand/solid or strand wire combos such as outdoor lighting. These don't work well for strand wire applications. The Lever Connectors work great for strand.

As described.
These are really handy little devices, much easier than twisting a wire nut. I know some don't trust them, but I've had no trouble over the years. Especially handy for the ground wire.

Push Wire Connector
Great quality connectors. I'm not an electrician, I purchase these connectors for little projects around the house. Easy to work with.

Way better than wire nuts!
I love these things! When you use wire nuts, it is a crap shoot whether all the wires are gathered together tightly. With these Wago connectors, you just punch your wire through the hole, and then push it down until you see the end in the little plastic "windows". No doubt at all when you are done. You have to make sure the wire is straight or else it doesn't want to poke through easily. Also, they don't work for stranded wires, so if you are attaching a ceiling fan or a light fixture, you will still need some wire nuts for those applications. If you are wiring your house, or running new wire, these are perfect for that. You'll like them!
