It is only about 40" over all, and features shatterproof construction. The new, polished, stainless steel air chamber hold 80 Cubic Inches of air, and it launches instantly with the touch of button, mounted on the high flow aluminum valve. Since there are no PVC or brittle plastic used for pressure holding parts, these launchers are allowed, where combustion, or other homemade, (like PVC) launchers will not. This launcher has a 2" diameter barrel, made from impact resistant FPVc, that fits the entire frozen bait rig. You can make frozen bait rigs in advance, that never come off the hook while casting, and draw in fish as they thaw, within minutes. This launcher exists because of the demand from fishermen that are handicapped, children, or when you just don't have clearance for huge casting rods. Typical range with line is 150 YDS, Maximum range is 175-200 yards, BUT this is dependent on line test and wind. Overall much greater performance than heavier, more expensive launchers that use a slower, more restrictive valve. Also uses less air for faster recharging. Not worth the money
Ordered this because of the claim of their quality and performance but found the opposite ! instuctions said pump up to 125 for best perfomance. safety valve was popping off at 119 releasing pressure . Then tied off the saftey valve got it up to pressure to notice the needle dropping on the gauge . after failed use on vacation got home removed the safety valve to find almost no sealant on the threads . obviously their was no quality control check at all and it was poorly assembled . Not worth the money .
