Q: It says if you forget password use admin. Well do you set admin too or is there a manufacturer master passwords? That would kind of kill the security

This is a very touchy subject. If they have a way of providing you a code to unlock it, then it can be hacked. just my opinion. The answer provided by seller was by someone where their native language Isn't English. 2nd thing- there is no key-chain attachment. (easier to lose it)

Q: Is the drive tamper proof/resistant?

The owner sets a personal code which must be used to activate and use the drive. If the drive is removed from the computer it automatically locks and is disabled.
