Fantastic earbuds relative to similarly priced options
I was looking for good earbuds in the ~$50 range and came across these in many headphone reviews on audio forums. Other models I was considering were the Monster iSport and Klipsch S4. I'm pretty picky about my audio systems (own some good 5.1/7.1 headsets and home theater setups), so I was looking for something good for all around use with responsive bass and consistent mids/highs.Upon receiving these, I was impressed with the packaging. They come in a very well designed "capsule", so to speak, and contain the headphones, 3 sets of rubber earpieces, airline adapters, and case. Everything is minimalistic in style, but very functional in practice. The headphone cable is like linguine (while most are like spaghetti), which I think makes them kink less and a little more resistant to potentially being cut or torn/stripped. The connector is 90 degree rather than straight, which isn't good or bad, but may affect your choice. It is quite flat, so it should work well with cell phones in a pocket and you won't need to worry about the cable bending near the connector. In the interest of full disclosure, I switched out the rubber earpieces for a pair of the Comply T-200 isolation foam tips because I have never had luck with the silicone/rubber tips staying in my ears. With these, I am able to hear everything (which may affect my review, because the isolation makes listening very immersive). The sound is very balanced overall; the highs are strong, the mids are very full, and the bass can nearly be felt (across all genres - electronic, rap, rock, and classical). I imagine that these would perform similarly with the rubber tips; the foam definitely enhances the sound, but they do not compensate for anything. In short - these are easily one of the best options in the $50 price range, and offer great sound, a functional yet aesthetically pleasing design, and a great price.EDIT: June 13, 2013Having used these for about 6 months now, I can say that almost nothing has changed; the sound is balanced, the bass is still incredibly strong (to the point of almost being unbalanced), and the flat cable has essentially eliminated tangling. I've been using the stock rubber earpieces since my Comply tips wore out, and they don't sound much different. They're actually much better designed tips, because most brands refuse to stay comfortably in my inner ear; these almost never fall out.I still stand by my initial review. For $50, you can't go wrong with these.

Nice Sound
Sounds really good but the bass isn't all that great. Although, I was expecting that because it is the higher end of the a-Jays and was told this before hand. I like the way they feel in my air and they are very effective when it comes to noise isolation. I can't hear anything around me while I am listening to music. I would recommend these.Update July 2014I have begun to experience an issue with a frayed wire from standard use and being well taken care of. I have emailed the seller to see about a resolution since they are less than a year old. I will update with further information.

Great Sound. Poor Design.
I am probably not the target demographic for these. I have no clue who "a-JAY" is and don't even care to look him up. I listen to earbuds 1-2 hours per day, mostly at the gym. I noticed at the airport that I lost my earbuds at the start of a 2-1/2 week trip out of the country. I had the choice of Skull Candy or these. Admittedly, I didn't expect much from these. I figured for $60, they couldn't be worse than the $25 Skull Candies. I was right. The positives: The sound quality is excellent. It is rich, without being overloaded on the high or low end. They do not distort at high volume. I have purchased earbuds for as much as $200 in the past, and these rank near the top for sound quality. The minuses: They look stupid. They were clearly made to stand out, and as such, the obnoxiously wide cord is bulky and causes more pull on the buds than normal cords. (It is about 1/4" wide.) It is made of a rubber-like material that tends to pull a bit when rubbing on clothing. Additionally, the housings of the buds are thick and the cord enters at an awkward angle, making it difficult to get a good seating in the ear. This all makes for a difficult time keeping these in the ears, particularly during high intensity exercise, like running, and HIIT.For sitting, walking around, and normal weightlifting, they are okay. I would recommend these for someone who wants excellent sound quality at a reasonable price, doesn't mind the appearance, and won't use them during exercise.

Love them!
Great earbuds for the money! Rugged, durable, and never tangle! Sound is very very very good with nice bass, strong mids, and thorough highs. Even comfortable enough to wear while sleeping. I purchased a second pair after a year, not because I needed them, but as a gift, as mine are still going strong, even after continued daily/evening use. While not in direct competition for the upper echelon of big money IEM's, at this price point, you get what you pay for, and so much more by sounding high end without paying high end.

Not so great...
Pros:-Good build quality.-Flat cable is not too heavy, but very durable feeling and extremely tangle resistant.-They are fairly small.-Crisp clean bass. Definately not bass heavy phones, but accurate and clean sounding.-Mids are also clean and accurate.-Lifetime WarrantyCons:-uncomfortable. The size tips that came on the buds were the correct size, but still hurt my ears after 10 minutes.-The treble on these phones is super loud. So loud that "s" sounds pierce your eardrums. Also cymbals will destroy your hearing. I plugged them into my home theater receiver and turned down the treble to -50%, and they sounded neutral! I wouldn't recomend these to anyone looking to keep their hearing.-The little carrying case that comes with them doesn't open or close smoothly.

Klasse Sound, guter Tragekomfort.

Outstanding value for money - excellent earphones, highly recommended!
After reading many reviews for a variety of earphones in a similar price range to these a-jay three earphones I decided to go for them due the high ratings they had recieved. I do not regret this purchase at all, they are superb earphones for the money and are no comparison to my previous Philips earphones which were similarly priced. After taking the earphones out of the box they come with many other accessories including a stylish and practical case to store them in safely when you aren't using them. The earphones themselves are very well designed and look very stylish also. Comparing the feel of these earphones to previous ones the build quality seems to be significantly better. The tangle-free cable does actually work and saves you fiddling around for around five minutes untangling your earphones before you can use them as well as adding to their unique and modern look. These earphones look and feel a lot more expensive than they actually are! When first using the earphones, for me, the normal sized ear sleeves provided a very comfortable fit and the earphones do not fall out, and on top of this there are a range of different sizes included in the package if this is not the case for you. The bass is definitely noticeable as soon as you first use these headphones, they sound incredibly good. Personally I think they are ideally suited for more modern music genres which are bass heavy. I have found they are ideal for genres such as r&b, hip hop, reggae and pop.The only downside, which doesn't affect the earphones, is the packaging. The plastic box is so fiddly to open and close which has to be done using a pen or something similar to open with. The sound quality and overall look is faultless. I would highly recommend these earphones, and can assure you that you will definitely not regret this purchase - they are outstanding.

Good for value earphones
Great quality for value, this is my 3rd pair. They provide various sizes of earbuds to suit your ear size. I can wear these on a long-haul flight for 12 hours non stop without any pain. The sound is good and works well for my broad interest in different music genres. There is some cable noise, but you would not notice it unless you keep bumping the flat cables. On average, these earphones lasted me 1.5-2 years per pair. The previous pairs worn off at the connection with the socket, but everything has its lifespan. The only drawback is their so called carrying case which is rather small and difficult to utilise.
