Wonderful comprehensive text for anyone teaching a course in organizational theory or educational administration. Easy to read, great for grad students who are studying for comprehensive exams in educational leadership or educational administration. Hoy and Miskel have created a wonderfully thorough 8th edition that incorporates current research, Seminole works, and clear definitions to help anyone understand the field better. Also, Hoy's website offers many incredible tools to assist instructors and students with research instruments, powerpoints, articles, quizzes, and even a cookbook!

It's no fairytale- but covers the concepts thoroughly. Keep a few index cards with you to jot down definitions. Also, be sure to check out Hoy's website. He's even got family recipes on there.

This book was required for my PHD coursework. It is an easy read and offers some historical, political and research practices for the field of education.

I ordered the wrong edition, but it's still been somewhat helpful.

Super technical and DRY! But you know, the education system said I had to purchase it so I purchased it.

Book was written in and spine glue let go leaving pages loose. But kept all pages, was able to use and will send back on date.
