The book gives too much military details, omitting the political and diplomatic developments which actually reveals the design of the region as Britain had shaped after the I. World War. Unfortunately the Real'ler is lost in military details. Good reading for military academies.

Even though too much of a military focus it would have been better if more political and diplomatic factors were included. Still makes for an interesting read considering current world events.

Grainger explained with clarity and honesty "the battle for Syria". He mastered all complex aspects of the that forgotten war, the military strategy, tactics, political rivalries between british, french and arabs. Very helpful for understanding the Syrian Civil War today.

Needed to build up a library about Syria, and this book is very important for this collection. Will certainly enjoy reading it.

It seems like new. I advice everyone. Moreover, I plan to buy new books. Especially about World history and internetional relationship.
