WILD FRONTIER VITAL PREY High Protein, Grain Free Dry Cat Food

This is the pickiest cat I've ever owned. I adopted her at 8 years old and she was a confirmed carboholic. She was on the regular Nutro food that is full of corn, which made her terribly gassy. I first switched her to Nutro Wholesome Essentials which doesn't have corn, and that resolved the gassiness. After several months on that I switched her to this Wild Frontier food for Adult cats, and now the Wild Frontier for Senior cats. I honestly thought there was no way she would eat it since she had turned down other grain-free foods, but she LOVES IT. I don't know what they put in it, but she prefers it over any treats or canned food.I love that the food is high in protein and higher in fat than other foods. For those of you interested, the Senior food is 26% carbs, which is pretty low even among grain-free foods. Her fur is getting softer and shinier, almost as soft and shiny as my previous cats' fur when I fed them a raw diet.If Nutro would lower the carbs even more, and increase the fat percentage, it would make a good food even better.

My kitty Sugar has been on Iams weight control (blue bag) for years. After I ran out of food one day, a friend let me borrow some of her cat food and it happened to be this brand. I was so hesitant to let my kitty try it because she has been eating the same kind of food for so long, but I'm SO glad I did!!The first thing I noticed was she didn't eat as much of this food as her Iams... I thought maybe it was making her sick?? Nope. Over the next few day after doing a cold turkey switch of food on her: zero diarrhea, zero vomit, 100% happy cat!!She is like a different cat on this formula. She eats less (After doing research, her old food had so many fillers in it!), cleans herself more often and thoroughly, much more alert, plays more, etc. Overall she is a much happier kitty!At first I was hesitant about the price after being used to paying for cheap food for so many years, but this Wild Frontier is really worth it!! I always thought: "What difference could her food really make?" It has made a HUGE difference!!Great brand and 100% recommend if you are looking to upgrade your fur baby's food !!

I do not typically write reviews but I wanted to let the cat world know that this food is truly good for your pets. I have 3 different variety of cats, one long hair, one kitty tabby and a very large white mix, medium hair, so yes all different. This food works for all three. Not only do their coats shine, with hardly any shedding, but their eyes are shiny and clear, almost sparkly. Also, when you use a high protein, grain free food, there is minimal smell in litter boxes. They have energy with this food. They do not overeat as I leave it out for them. They do enjoy the taste. I highly recommend if you have several cats, even different ages this food may work for them. I tried a few other grain free, high protein and they just could not abide the taste. Another popular brand (BF) dries out their skin causing heavy shedding, tearing eyes, brittle claws. This food does not do that. They are super healthy and are indoor cats.

After Googling the causes of "dandruff" that was periodically appearing (when we took our cat in the car almost exclusively) I found the reasons might be diet or stress. Apparently in her case it was both, so all the more gratifying to find a product that solved the diet part! Recommended by the guy at the pet store for having the highest percentage of Omega 3 of any of the Cat foods, I initially bought a small bag to try with my cat. She not only loves it (I mean her 'attack' of the food bowl was evidence enough) but it's been great for her digestive system - she's been more "regular" ever since starting with this cat food. And her coat is texturally improved - much silkier, softer and NO DANDRUFF. We all LOVE this product!

Ordered this for the two shelter cats I've adopted -- and they love this! They were fed Purina Complete at the shelter. I've tried to convert them to a lot of other dried/moist foods that are supposedly more nutritionally sound than Purina Complete, including other Nutro offerings, with NO success, until now. This is the first dried food they actually seem to like -- and have continued to like a month in -- at least as much as their Purina Complete.Food arrived punctually. Food was ordered in 12/2018, and the expiration date of food received was 8/2019, which was around the same date as the food on the store shelves.

I bought this cat food at the recommendation of EVO, which has been discontinued. I switched to EVO about a year ago to reduce the carbohydrates my cat was eating. (He was on Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin - Brewers Rice is first ingredient; 31% protein). EVO had 50% protein, first ingredient was herring. The closing EVO web page recommended Wild Frontier by Nutro. My cat prefers this to both the remaining EVO and the Science Diet. Wild Frontier has 40% protein, and first ingredient is Salmon. I consider this a winner.

We switched to this food after our 10 year old began to be sick from her long-time brand. She tolerated it fine. She LOVED the food, BUT it was way to smelly to have in the house, and her litter box reeked, eventually smelling up the whole room despite our daily cleaning. The other problem was that the kibbles were too big, so she would crunch them into pieces, sending the pieces flying from her food maze, and then would never touch the broken pieces again, so there was a lot of mess and waste. Her coat got rough too. I am skeptical of "grain-free" food that contains other vegetable ingredients that a cat would never eat in the wild.

My friend recommended this cat food to me so that I may try it with my cats as her cats love it. Well my, after every time I give them this cat food, throw up so unfortunately it does not agree with my cats, so after a few failed attempts and figuring out that this was making me cats sick, I stopped giving it to them. But that’s that thing about cat food, it’s a trial-and-error situation. One cat might love it while another cat will hate it. On a side note, the dog likes it and eats it up and it agrees with his digestion.

Mr. Cheddar really liked this kibble!🐱It is a good sized bag, not too big or small.I don't like buying really big bags as the kibble can easily become rancid with repeated opening of bags. That's a serious health threat for cats. This bag is just the right size for our one cat household.😂Good ingredient list, better than average. It came early and when it's food for Loki, that's always a good thing. It was his first time trying the food and he loved it. He started meowing once I opened the bag and he ate to his fill as soon as it hit the bowl. He loves it and I love the quality.

I have ordered this twice now, the first time I received it within two days of ordering it and it had 2 months before it expired, so I fast forward to my second order which I received 4 months after it's expiry date. I would advise everyone to check the expiration date right when you receive it.

This is the only food besides blue buffalo that my one cat won’t reject. So now I subscribe and save to these guys because my cat has made it impossible to do anything else.
