Landove Microscope 40x - 640x Magnification, Student Lab Biological Compound Microscope - with 16X Digiscoping Adapter for Smartphone

It arrived today, in a plain cardboard box... nothing exciting about it. It is going to be a Christmas gift, so I was quite disappointed that it doesn't come in a case or even a pretty box. So, I took my old Sears microscope down from the shelf and put the new one in the old case. My old Sears microscope looks and feels more professional than this one, however the old microscope used AA batteries to power the light, so it doesn't work well anymore.I plugged the new one in and tried it out. It does work nicely to view tiny particles, and the phone attachment worked too. I am just disappointed with the fact that there is only one macro-tuning knob, no fine adjustment, and it looks very cheap.

A great entry level microscope at the price with LED below and above lighting and three optics from 40x to 1000x. Includes a phone adapter to allow photos to be taken. My daughter loves it.

Like that it came assembled and being able to use your phone to enhance the images is great. Like the phone attachment but dislike that lens is not a tighter fit when using the attachment.

Great price for the quality of microscope you get. They even have different color lenses if you don't utilize stain!!! Super easy to use, the ability to hook up your phone and move the slide is wonderful! Super duper pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend!

Good microscope for student. Upper light source works well for lighting collected specimens.
