This is my second time purchasing this set. I purchased this for my father, because after hearing my raving reviews he tried mine out for himself and was just as anamoured as I am. He works on his feet fulltime and has issues with his back that make it hard for him to get through the day without experiencing pain. He has yet to find anything that can provide him any sort of relief from the back pain, but this Acupressure set ended up being just what he needed. He was skeptical at first, because it looks like it'd be painful to lie on, but I insisted that although initially it may be a tad uncomfortable, that discomfort leaves after some time and feelings of calm and relaxation start to flood through your body. After his first use he didn't seem that impressed, but the next day he asked me if he could use it again! He told me that he usually feels tense and tight all day, but for a few hours whilst working he felt loose and painless and was surprised and impressed with those results. Needless to say he's hooked! So he asked me to order him the blue set for personal daily use.I purchased the purple set for myself as I was having terrible intermittent lower back spasms with no relief. This mat is a game changer for sure. I lied on it for 30 minutes the first day it arrived and after that short session I felt a sense of relaxation I haven't been able to achieve since my back has been in agony. What makes this even more amazing is that entire day I did not have one back spasm.Depending on your sensitivity you may be able to lie directly on the mat topless, but for new users I recommend lying on the mat with a shirt on or with a thin towel over the mat to get accustomed to the feeling.As far as packaging/delivery/quality goes the product was packaged appropriately and was delievered promptly. I have no complaints with the quality of these items-- they are made well and the bag makes it easy to store (it doesn't take up much space at all) and easy to travel with (just sling it over your shoulder and go!).

Love this item, which my sister gave me for my birthday. She was trying to find something unique as stress relief for me. Although I'm not sure I've noticed the stress relieving properties, it has totally eradicated my lower back pain. I have suffered from sciatic issues for about 3-4 years and this mat has been a Godsend! I have since ordered one for my father and another friend; I've also recommended it to a few others who have similar lower back issues.Only thing I would suggest is that the mat might come with some directions. There was literally no paperwork included so I had no idea what the mat and pillow were for, or how to use them (until I looked up the reviews on Amazon).

Since i've started laying on this mat for approx 20 minutes before going to sleep at night, i haven't felt the need to go to a chiropractor. I usually go about once a month. Laying on this mat after a hard workout and feeling sore helped to reduce soreness and speed recovery for sure. Laying on the mat is now a part of my regular routine. I don't miss it. I sleep like a rock! I highly recommend this mat. I love the pillow for my neck and I like that it comes with a carrying bag.

I already wrote a review of high praise; but something else odd and beneficial seems to be happening. I have trouble sleeping most nights. Almost always actually; and this mat, when used in conjunction with the pillow on my bed.:. After the initial 5 minutes of pings in other parts of my body and local itchiness.: my mind sinks into a drug like daze of tranquil euphoria. The sleep and relaxation I get is almost too good to be true and I’m praying it will last because nothing has been able to get me to deep sleep and vivid dreams like this in years. I keep it on my bed 24/7 in my spot.

Falling asleep on these faux plastic knives was the best. Who knew I'd like so many sharp objects digging into my skin?? Whatever wizardry made this product, my back paid is gone after laying on this torture device. I love it!

This product was shipped really fast. I thought it would be a lot more poky/stabby but it isn't. It's pretty mellow if used on a bed. I have a foam mattress. I find it comfortable enough to sleep on it all night. To get the best results, use it on a hard surface like your floor with no shirt on. Then you can feel it. It does produce relaxation altho I didn't get the endorphins others did. Too soon to tell if it really is helping my sleep but it's great for a tired or stiff back and a relaxing pad to lounge on or put on your office chair.

I purchased this concerned that it may be painful or hurt to use but that's definitely not the case. My husband and I use this often to relieve neck and shoulder pain. My husband also gets lower back pain and finds that this helps a lot.

I love this mat! I lay on it in bed while I read before I go to sleep and I definitely have less back ache the next day. I haven't had a sciatica flare in a while, so maybe the mat is keeping that at bay also. Besides the benefits, it's also really comfortable the lay on! I use the pillow also when I'm lying flat and enjoying music. Its relaxing to lay on

I expected more. too soft, the mat must be toug. And needles, it's too bad...

I was not impressed- used it for several days - no relief in back pain or neck other than feeling pin needles sticking in back !!!
