Great for magic wands!
I ran a "Harry Potter" themed summer camp this summer and needed some sort of stick base for my students to make wands out of. I didn't have the time to get actual sticks from outside, so I went with these and I'm glad I did! They're the perfect size for kid hands. We used yarn with glue all over it to wrap around these and it stuck really well.

Woodpeckers Wooden Dowel Rods
I bought the 1/4" sticks. They are a great value. They are good quality; no splintering; very smooth, finished wood for painting and use in crafts. I made topiary pieces by gluing the rods to artificial green balls and inserting into foam in a small flower pot with moss and other greens. I'm very pleased with this purchase; recommend these rods to crafters.

Keeps Halloween decorations in the ground!
I purchased these dowels to help keep foam tombstones in the ground for my Halloween yard display. They work FAR better than the dinky things that come with the tombstones. Now I won’t have to worry about chasing things around the neighborhood if it gets windy!

Straight, smooth sticks made in USA
I used these sticks as battens for roman shades, and they worked very well. The sticks are straight, not warped like they would be if you buy them at a big box hardware store. I have several extra to make additional shades; very good value compared to other vendors.

Good for cat teaser wands
I got these for replacement poles for my cat teaser toys. Some of those nowdays come with really short wands, and I had a plastic wand that broke. They’re my cat’s favorite play toys. I just drilled a hole near the end, and voila !! They do bend a little, so I’m sure they’ll eventually tear up also, but so far they’re lasting a good while, and they are a good, long length.

The project is exactly as stated it was precisely what I needed and it's finished very well masons moved without any wood splinters or shavings this will suit my application perfectly. The only thing is delivery was a little slow

Perfect for my project
I am making DIY jute leaves, thes dowels are the perfect size it stand thes leaves in a large vase to make a gorgeous home decor.

Not what I expected, but A+ quality
5 stars. Unfortunately, not the right size for my project, they are bigger than anticipated, but extremely sturdy and great quality. I'm sure I'll use them for something, they'd be great for party props or wands. Super fast shipping, too! The list image shows them looking thinner, but it's ok, I'll be ordering more from this seller if they have a thinner size, for sure, since they arrived so fast.
