GolaMen's Grandslam Classic Sneaker

I bought these for daily use since I don't want to follow the current Samba craze.Although it took a few days longer to ship than my most other Amazon purchases they arrived in pristine condition. I wear size 9 Adidas so I took a chance to order the same with these Gola and they fit perfectly despite Gola's US size 9 being 43 in their French sizing scale corresponding to Adidas' US size 9 being 42 in their French sizing scale. However, with these Gola being slightly wider than say Adidas' Samba, Beckenbauer Allround, Gazelle, or Stan Smith, it makes sense, I suppose. As my feet are slightly wide, these Gola fits me even better. I would also say that the material used and craftsmanship of the Gola is also better than current Samba so that makes up for the price difference. All in all, an excellent purchase.

Shoes have a cool retro look and the fit is good. However, the construction of the shoe has the leather tongue rubbing on leather inside the shoe and they have an obnoxious squeek every step you take. They also lack ventilation other than a few holes over the toe, which makes them excessively hot. Hopefully the noise issue goes away as they are broken in.
