This stuff has been almost a miracle for my family!!! This would put Metamucil and such out of the fiber business in a heart beat.... The person taking this is 74 and has been trying everything for chronic constipation and finally this has been working for 8 months now!! It's not perfect but it's not a laxative and should be taken with care. We started off slowly like 1oz a day for a week. Then 2oz twice a day for a week. Than 3oz twice a day is the final dose. Didn't want to go above for fear of too much fiber which can leave you really gassy... Which is the one things negatives about this fiber but it comes with the territory... But the agony of constant constipation is finally over.... Like I said it's not perfect and you need to stay consistent. We put it in orange juice in the morning and then milk at night... You can add it to just about anything though.. So that's It's just fiber but you might want to ask your doctor before starting this.. We didn't consult his doctor because it couldn't be worse than the Linzess. Which worked by the way but he could leave the house on the days he took it which is not convenient. We have since consulted his doctor and he didn't have a problem with what he was taking. He has underlying medical condition like diabetes, HB, HC, heart disease, mild stroke and emphysema (COPD)This is a jackpot for anyone who has to deal with chronic constipation!!! It's been a for sure!!
