Great Refrance
I am a US Navy Corpsman, I acquired this book when I took the course provided by my chain of command. This was a great course. It works on improving and honing the skills of Civilian EMTs and Military Medical personnel. It has great material that teaches you to think critically about the mechanism of injury for your patient and what they need before you get them to a higher level of care. It is made to lessen the time it takes to get your patient from the field to the Hospital or aid station. In the military we won't always have the availability of higher care within 30 min drive and every second counts. I highly recommend this course for those dedicated to saving lives.

PHTLS
This book was nothing more than a review of basic EMT procedures. I expected a little bit more advanced trauma techniques and it read like my basic EMT text. If you need a review I guess this would help some.

Great info
The best book in the series, includes all relative info from boo-boos to bio-chemical.Not a beginners book, some medical background will be needed.

PHTLS Combat Medic Edition
A must have book if you're interested in Tactical Field Medicine. As Combat Medic (68W) I find it very helpful.

Informative and useful
A really good in-depth book covering a wide range of topics useful to anyone needing to know how to take care of someone in that first critical stage. The fact that the text is tied to evidence based journal-published studies gives it that extra weight. Useful practical "how to" sections combined with some more in-depth coverage make this a really well rounded product.
