Keep your original Apple USB power adapters. One of the adapters we received worked all of 3 times and then would not charge. I also noticed the adapter was very hot when plugged in. We transferred the longer cord (which we think is great) to the original Apple adapter and can now charge. Have not used the second adapter yet. Will update this review if we have any further problems with the product. Giving it 2 stars until we use the 2nd adapter and the product longer.Updated: I regret purchasing these because they just didn’t work long. Very slow to charge (4% in an hour- yes, that is the number four) and my iPad started started showed “not charging.” Already replaced them with authentic Apple cables/adapter plugs purchased at the Apple Store.

I bought this 33 days ago and both items already don’t work... and I’m very careful with my devices and accessories. It also charges incredibly slow. The 3ft cheapest cord I could find on Amazon I bought before worked better than this. And the reason I replaced it was cause of the crappy quality. So that says a lot. Don’t buy.

Apple products only like Apple chargers. Worked for about a month and then stopped being compatible.

Gets the job done. Charges well and as noted with speed. The minor drawback is it doesn't stay plugged into the power cord or socket. The prongs are loose.

I bought a replacement cord a few months ago and starting having a problem again. Bought this entire charger and no more problems.

I forgot to read the reviews and I always read them ! This worked right for the first month and that’s it ! No more ! Just Apple products for me ! Yuck !
