How much?
It wasn’t expensive so I wasn’t expecting much. What arrived was this device in Apple iPhone quality packaging. I was stunned and I’d not put it together yet! It was easy to assemble using the amusing instructions sheet and installed the batteries (comes with batteries at this price, amazing).Tried it with my iPhone 13 mini and this is where it failed. My phone won’t focus close enough, maybe yours will. I didn’t downgrade it from 5* as I have an old iPhone 7 which focussed OK. I scanned my slides and the results were brilliant, worthy of a 6”x4” (150mm x 100mm) print. If I wanted a larger print I would need a better resolution than my iPhone 7 gave me but hey it was good enough as far as I was concerned. These people sound like a good crowd and made a good product for an amazing price. I’d buy from them again, just be aware your phone needs to focus down to 4” (100mm).

Surprisingly good and much better than cheap scanners
I have a high quality slide and negative scanner that produces better images than the KLIM K2 Mobile Film Scanner, but it cost a lot more and the process is much slower than using the KLIM K2. I also (some years ago) bought one of those cheap, small scanners you often see here with a small LCD screen, which produced poor fuzzy, noisy, dull-coloured and non-dynamic pictures. I would strongly recommend that you do NOT buy the small scanners with a small LCD screen, but instead buy the KLIM K2.It is quick to use and packs away easily so is highly portable. If you have a good modern cellphone with an excellent camera with a macro lens (or a zoom lens which can focus at short-ish distances), the KLIM K2 scanner produces vibrant and clear images that challenge the quality of the more expensive scanners.

Good product
Easy to use. Managed to digitalise over 200 pictures in about half an hour and the quality was really good. It’s compact and doesn’t take up much room and was easy to assemble.

Excellent piece of kit
My wife recently lost her younger brother under tragic circumstances and her father had given her a lot of slides of family photos.Unable to view them clearly, I ordered the KLIM K2 Film Scanner. It arrived the very next day, by a very helpful delivery guy, who rescued our wheelie bin in the high winds. The scanner was easy to setup and we were quickly scanning and sharing the family photos, with her other brother.Nice touches, were that it came with a cleaning cloth and batteries.Highly recommended.

The App is not free !
Neat, compact, easily assembled design which works as described. So far have only viewed slides with it. Disappointed that the free app advertised was only free for a trail period of 3 days. after which it was expensive. I was about to return item because of this but pressed on and scanned the slides directly onto my mobile phone and took a photo. I found the focusing was better if I propped a slide box between the platform and my phone, to give a greater distance for focusing. A bit 'Heath Robinson' but did a satisfactory job for me. If you had an enhanced camera on your phone it would work even better. but my main point is THE APP IS NOT FREE.

Not really a scanner
Of course at this price you don't get a scanner at all. You get a little plastic table which you have to assemble with slot together pieces that do not slot precisely and are inclined to wobble around. There is also a battery powered lamp to shine light through your negatives, but no mechanism to hold the negatives flat and no adjustment to allow for 126 film as opposed to 35mm etc. Also once you have slotted it together, you can't reach the switch for the lamp which is in a silly position. Finally you are supposed to balance your phone on the 'table' - again no adjustment for height, so good luck focusing on an image and getting it in the frame. Finally if you managed all that, you can find apps online (I tried 3 of them) which invert the image colours to a positive for printing, however I never managed to correct the colour for the orange cast caused by the negative base, so got no usable pictures out of it.

It works!
A little sceptical but very pleased with the results. Not difficult to set up and use. Lovely to see old photos again, and be able to share them. App is very helpful. I'm very pleased with the item.

Get the app!
A useful tool to turn negatives into photos. Most important is to download the app, otherwise the hardware is just a light stand!Get the app, take the negative and then use the tools on the app to get the best picture you can.
