All around hot tomato sauce / salsa
I love this sauce/salsa or whatever you want to call it. I put it on anything that tastes good with tomatoes including pastas and use it as a dip for taquitos, burritos and tacos or spoon it over them. It has a good bite to it but not so hot as to burn your mouth. I can eat it straight but it's a bit much that way. :-) Btw, this is really tomato sauce or the thinnest salsa I've ever seen and the least number of ingredients in any salsa I've had. It's just tomatoes and spices... El Pato Mexican Hot Style Tomato Sauce Salsa de Chile Fresco - 7.75 oz

good sauce.
The price was high for only one can. The expiration date is 10/2019 which is only a couple of months away. The sauce is good but priced way too high.

Hot Was a Bit too Hot
A little too hot for my taste but it served its purpose.

Too expensive!
The product is delicious. But the price is ridiculously overpriced.

Very good, but $5.87 for one can?!?!
This spicy tomato sauce is excellent. I use it as my seasoning for my homemade chicken tortilla soup. I always have 2 or 3 cans in my pantry because we love soup at my house. However, $5.87 for 1 can is ridiculous. I pay about $1 at my local regular grocery store in the Mexican foods aisle. If I were desperate I would order this, because it is awesome. However, I recommend you check your local stores first.

Excellent Salsa de Chile Fresco. Nicely Spiced.
I spotted this Marca El Pato Salsa de Chile Fresco (in a 7.75-ounce can) at a nearby Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market and decided to try it. Well, it's excellent! I used it with some cooked squash and the dish turned out very well. It tastes very much like a good quality tomato sauce, but has a good zesty kicker to it. I might emphasize, that it's not too hot. Nice mix of spices!Okay, here's one for you. In the Amazon listings here are supposedly two different products at widely differing prices. I'm reporting here on the Salsa de Chile Fresco. Now, if I simply turn the can around, then the little picture on the can is different and the product is called El Pato Brand Mexican Hot Style Tomato Sauce. But, it's the same stuff and it's in the same can. So, what should you do? Well, I'd go for the best deal.Gary Peterson
