Great jack for $10. Use it right and it wont crumple
Bought to go with my full size spare build for my 2014 Jeep Cherokee. At <$10 as an Amazon Warehouse deal this was a steal in unused condition with all parts and papers and original packaging and shrink wrap that someone had returned to a Kohl’s (return sticker was covered up on box). Considered getting a trolley jack for my spare kit but a simple screw scissor jack requires much less maintenance (no need for hydraulic fluid), jacks higher (15” needed for my Jeep), and is lighter and takes up less space. Performance Tool is a good brand that I have used before for zerks and a dingle ball rotor hone and this is jack seems solidly made and has a wide base and is certainly the nicest scissor jack I’ve used. Only complaint is it doesn’t have a pinch weld adapter for added stability like the Harbor Freight scissor jack but if you know how to use a scissor jack that isn’t a big deal. As a note mine had grease on the screw and some bits of slag and paint from manufacturing. I cleaned off the screw and it works much smoother with no snags. You need to make sure the screw is oiled or greased before putting a load on it though to prevent the threads from galling and causing a failure at the worst possible time. I haven’t used this to jack my Jeep yet but have not doubt it will function properly since I have used many scissor jacks to change tires before and have common sense to inspect my equipment and maintain it before using it (cleaned slag and paint off the screw and re-oiled). I sure hope I don’t have a catastrophic failure like some of the reviews for this scissor jack and others like the Big Red Torin and Harbor Freight scissor jacks. As long as you use your equipment and maintain it properly it will work as expected almost all of the time. You don’t want to leave the weight of your car on this for a long time and when using it for emergency purposes as intended you need to change your tire quickly and smartly. Its always easy to blame your equipment for failure when you use it improperly but it takes a special kind of tool to misuse a simple and effective tool like this scissor jack

Works great and is very stable
The large foot on this jack provides a great deal of stability. The jack isn't as flimsy as it looks in the pictures, it is quite substantial and operates easily. The included handle system is a bit small for a heavier vehicle and a bit short for one where the axles are deep beneath bodywork, but for my use, it works fine. The finish appears to be a dipped paint. It's thick and appears pretty tough. I purchased this to replace a lost OEM jack in an old car. It fits under the rear seat in the stock position just fine, despite the larger foot.

Mine failed.
I bought this because my Mustang didn't come with one and because the base looked sturdy. First time I used it on the side of the highway in the rain and it SUCKED. It was extremely awkward to turn the handle but eventually lifted the car. The second time I used it (same car, in my garage), it BROKE. The platform on top that meets with the car frame just snapped and sloped down to one side like the support rod below broke under loading (this is a Mustang v6, not a heavy car by any means and this was at a REAR tire). I would not put a product down without first hand experience with it. I'm 44 and have used scissor jacks, floor jacks and bottle jacks since I was a teenager so I know I was using this product correctly when it failed. Who knows - maybe I got a defective one but I wouldn't trust another one after my experience.I've since replaced it with a Torin T82012 which is still small enough to throw in your trunk and low enough to get under a 2011 Mustang but is a MUCH better quality solution and will lift your vehicle quickly without you having to stand with your back to oncoming traffic while you mess with a slow scissor jack - lesson learned!

Works well as a spare ture jack
I got this jack since my 2011 Mustang didn't come with a spare or jack. This jack is pretty stable, as far as scissor jacks go. Raising the car the last few inches to change the tire is a little bit difficult and would probably be easier if the included handle was a little bit longer. This jack fits easily in the spare tire well of my car and, along with a spare tire and lug wrench, gives me some peace of mind.

Scissor Jack
Very nice jack. I got this for my daughter's Kia Seoul.....they don't provide a spare tire, jack or lug wrench. The wide base is VERY nice and is compact enough for the smaller-type cars. No problems for her to use the jack. You can't beat the price or the quality.

Best Jack for Women to Use
Lives up to its advertisement! Easy to use. Stable. Once you get the hang of how to use the 'wand-like device' to latch on and turn, it's easier than any jack I've ever owned. My use was as a woman raising the body of a sitting mower to change the tire. Love it!

purchased for Aliner
Takes up little room. Purchased for emergency road change of tire on camper. I use a heavy duty hex wrench in my dewalt driver and it is much easier to put up and take down (instead of using the light weight rod they give you.) You can finish off the last couple of turns with the rod.

Lube & grease the shaft gear
Pretty solid for small vehicles. Not for suburban Escalade Yukon

Excellent jack.
Excellent jack. Bit heavy compared to similar scissor jacks. But, it works.

Easy to use jack stand
Bought it for the car just in case for road side emergencies. One thing I like about it is the ease of jacking it up. The base is wide and holds its weight.
