Not bad for a mid-low level knife
Very pretty knife, I'll give it that, I love the handle and the blade looks good. It is fairly sharp, sliced through paper quick and easy, sliced throw a smoked ham with surprising ease.Downside though, it's difficult to tell how far the tang is, which means it's probably just a push or partial tang, which means the part of the knife that goes into the handle only goes part of the way, unlike the better knives there it goes the full length of the handle (you can tell those because you can usually see the blade all the way to the bottom of the handle). And to make it worse, the holster isn't part of the blade, it's just a metal plate that looks like it was spot welded to the blade, leaving some gaps. There is no wiggle, so at least that is good. However, while the blade is stainless, those spot welds are not. It didn't take much to develop some rust at those spots. It's tiny and not "in the way", but it's unsightly.Another part of the problem is with the bolster. There isn't one. It's just knife blade to the flat metal plate. I thought this wouldn't be an issue for knife control, but if you grasp the blade by the handle with thumb and forefinger on either side of the base of the blade, you'll quickly find that oval metal plate digging into your thumb and forefinger uncomfortably. If that little plate were only rounded a bit it would be so much better. I have another kitchen knife that has no bolster, but the handle is resin including that spot, with no plate, and the resin is rounded, so it doesn't dig into my thumb/finger.That being said this isn't exactly a blade for "fine" cutting, so I will likely rarely ever hold it like that, it's just that I did have to once and it became an obvious issue pretty quickly. Is this worth the price? I honestly don't think so. For the price bracket there are many that are significantly better and hit all the points. If it were closer to ~$40, I'd say yes, that would be good. So if you stumble across this on sale for $40-$50 and you really like that lovely handle (it really is wicked pretty), go for it. But I can't do better than 4/5. It misses too many marks for a really great knife. If I could rate on a scale of 100 I'd give it a 70, like... 3.5/5.

Waves kinda show
I love forging and I'm a cook so I thought this would be badass but the waves are not as prominent as expecting. Other than that it's really well made and the balance is on point! I'm keeping it so its should say something still!
