Easy to install, works as needed. No issues. I put one in my golf cart to charge phones and run a GPS speedometer. Would buy again

Installed it in a 2004 GMC Yukon XL. I've lived with it for a while and so far it works great. There are plenty of accessory ports, but I didn't want to buy and carry around more cigarette-lighter-type chargers, so this is almost perfect, installed clean and I'm happy. I had an empty switch slot where I could install it, and it went in easily with a little modification of the nut to make it fit my particular space.The important installation debate is not about location, but whether you want to tap into a keyed or always hot power line, and the overall power draw on the circuit. I tapped into the power and ground for the cigarette lighter (using solder and heat shrink-- I hate when people strip insulation and just twist a wire around and put tape over it. Then I have to go through and find the short). My other car, the outlet turns on and off with the key, but the GMC is always hot. This could be an issue for parasitic draw if it's not a daily driver (which mine is not), but the blue light is quite bright when it is on, so it works as a good reminder to turn it off, and it lets me charge my phone with the key off, like when I'm in a store. Tapping into a cigarette lighter line is also decent because the wires on the circuit are built for a pretty heavy load. However, if you have kids or a willful spouse who wants to sabotage your camping trip, you might want to tap into keyed power. You have to consider load on the circuit. A lot of the keyed wires are pretty small and adding up the power draw can blow a fuse, or heat up wires to melting under full load. Don't tap into anything you consider vital. I didn't want to tap into my radio or HVAC's power circuit because it would add up to pretty close to the circuit's wattage rating under full load and I don't want either going out when I want to charge two devices out in the desert. It's a little bigger job to run a fuse tap but I'm still considering it if it ever becomes an issue. This would be much easier if it just turned itself off when it's not in use.

I use my phone as a gps on my Honda XR650L and had a USB power socket that did not have a switch, which was annoying because I would have to disconnect it from the battery when not riding to avoid draining it. I bought this power socket because it has an on/off switch and it works great. Was very easy to install, even with my having to add longer wires to reach the battery. The on/off switch works great and really powers it off. It supports fast charging so my phone gets charged even while running the gps with Waze or Calimoto running. Has an inline fuse which is nice and the cover goes securely in place. I am happy with this power socket and would recommend it for anyone with a motorcycle that wants a very cost friendly solution for powering USB accessories.

Drilled a hole and dropped this into my zero-turn mower to keep my phone charged while mowing the lawn for a few hours. The only suggestion I would make is to separate the covers for each USB port. Since I'm only plugging in one charger while mowing, the other port remains open to debris and such as I'm mowing. I would recommend that plugging in an extra charging cable or dummy cover to prevent dust and grass from getting in there if you use it like I do. Otherwise, it works great.

Its cool

Fit into existing hole where lighter was, with very little effort. Now I have 2 USB ports, without messy corded plug-ins that get lost or come unplugged. I like this one 'cause it has it's own On/Off switch built in.

Used this to replace one that wasn't a quick charge. Wasn't worried about the switch because it went on my to go box. My cell phone tells me it is quick charging when in use.

The charger threaded right into my motorcycle's knock out port for outlets, but I had to get some more wire and splice it in to make the cable longer. If you're mounting this at the front of your motorcycle, there's no chance it'll reach your battery. The provided cable would reach if you wanted to splice into an already existing wire, but otherwise you'll need to add some length to it.As for functionality, it works perfectly, I have no complaints about it, and it seems like its high quality and will last.

Habe die USB Dose in meinen Toyota gegen den Zigarettenanzünder getauscht. Funktioniert Tip Top.Muste nur das Loch etwas vergrößern. War aber kein Problem. Somit erspart man sich das lästige gefummel mit Adaptern.💪

dommage que le bouton on/off soit réinitialisé à chaque redémarrage de la voiture. il serait mieux de le trouver éteint en rallumant la voiture lorsqu'on l'a éteint avant de couper le contact. Là, dès qu'on met le contact le chargeur est allumé, il faut l'éteindre manuellement à chaque fois.sinon c'est un tres bon produit.
