Tubular Heater 180Watts 3Ft Long Cream

I am not sure this device is actually safe or fit for the purpose. The cap on the end of the tube furthest from the power lead is a white polythene disc, normally intended for protection of tubes in transit rather than permanent use. It was only held on by a spot of hot melt glue and came off in normal handling. This exposed the heating element which is wound around a loose mica strip and has no additional means of preventing the live element from contacting the metal tube walls, should the core get damaged by drops etc. I shall not be touching this heater with it plugged in. Ever.

We wanted this heater for in our pump house to avoid frozen pipes on our private water supply. Along with a plug in thermostat it does the job very effectively. The heater looks well made and heats up virtually instantly.Delivery was very quick, but unfortunately electric cable was missing, however after contacting the company they apologised and the cable arrived the next day.Not being an electician, following the instructions on fitting the cable to the heater was important and we did find these confusing. However, we used our common sense and decided that what we had done was correct, even though the instructions could be read differently. It is really just like fitting a plug!.Overall extremely happy with the purchase.

Fabulous buy. In fact, I was so pleased with it, I purchased an additional 2. Hidden out of sight, these provide good background heat, even during the winter. Just keeps the chill off the rooms and are economical to run.

Does the job as anticipated, a good product.

and mounted under the anchor locker it does a great job in keeping condensation at bay and warm even in mid winter

Very nice little heater. I'm using mine in the engine bay of a boat on it's mooring in a marina (240v hook up)to protect it from low temperatures over the winter. Smart in appearance and well made, Gets quite hot after a minute, too hot to hold. Ideal for small areas but would struggle to heat a room. A greenhouse would have too many heat losses for this to have any effect. It's ideal if used for the purpose for which it was designed. Would work well in an aviary or kennel.

I purchased this to keep a window condensation clear in the very cold days & nights we have been having, and while on occasions it has had to be on all it uses very little 'juice' and does a very good job. I would definitely recommend for this use, as to others I cannot comment.

Fast delivery, well packaged. Very surprised that the heater wasn't pre-wired. I'm a competent DIYer. If other purchasers aren't, then they would incur extra, unnescessary, expense This is the only reason I gave Four stars.
