A beautiful story...
I really enjoy reading this authors books, they're books you can lose yourself in, set in beautiful places with great characters. This book did not disappoint in any way. ..Seaview Key, an island off Florida coast served by ferry, Hannah grew up there with her Mum and Grandmother, left as soon as she could and now with a daughter, works at a successful PR job in New York. Having lost her Mum a few months previously she returns to Seaview Key to try and persuade her Grandmother to move into an assisted living facility on the mainland, and sell the family run B&B. Her Grandmother has other ideas, which soon become apparent!Kelsey, Hannah's daughter has a bombshell of her own, she goes to Seaview Key for some advice, taking a leave of absence from college, can Hannah handle any more! Then there's Luke, an old school friend of Hannahs who also grew up in the island. After divorcing his wife, who left him whilst he was on a tour of duty in Iraq, and almost got himself killed in the process, he goes home to Seaview Key to continue his recovery...Secrets come to light, hearts are broken and are healed, the future is decided upon... a brilliant book and well worth a read. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. ..

Lovely story.
I enjoyed this story. Would have been 5* if not for the inconsistencies, timeline and other issues. It was joyful to read. Lots to make me smile, moments to cause a tear. SPOILER. I do find it strange that Kelsey asked her father to give her away. The same person who gave her abandonment issues when he left when she was a toddler and never saw her again ( according to Hannah and Kelsey throughout the story). That right should have been Hannahs. Book well written, kept my attention. Book does end abruptly at 96%.

A Lovely and Compassionate Story
Sherryl Woods really cannot write a bad book. It would be so easy for her to rest on her laurels and coast for a few books, as many authors in her position have done (I won't name names; read my reviews!), but she never lets the reader down.Seaview Inn is a charming story that on its face has been told many times in many books: Divorced mother of college daughter returns to her home town that she fled many years ago. College daughter, doing well at Stanford, suddenly takes a leave of absence from college for very emotional reasons. Grandmother wants to keep the inn that has been in her family for generations; daughter believes she should go in assisted living. Trouble Iraq War veteran comes to his birthplace to sort out his soul.OK, if that were the plot and there was nothing more, I might have given this book a whirl--or maybe not, as I have read so many similar books. BUT... we have more to this story.First, we have a poignant and realistic look at the anguish an adult child feels when her parent or grandparent can no longer continue in the life she loves. What should be done? Is assisted living the answer? Or is it unspeakably cruel? Next, we have a very realistic look at a recent breast cancer survivor who, having watched her own mother die of the disease, cannot believe in her own future. The terror is very real and beautifully described. And then we have the bitterness of a wounded war veteran who comes home to find that his wife has dropped him for his best friend. It all sounds so very melodramatic, but it isn't--not when Sherryl Woods is writing the book! Her compassion, her honesty and her very real wisdom shine through on every page. I've already ordered the next in the series, and I can't wait to read it.

Seaview Inn
Hannah is a strong New York advertising director, single mother and breast cancer survivor. She feels like she can handle everything on her own. After her mother dies from breast cancer, she goes to Seaview Inn, the bed and breakfast that her mother and grandmother own in Florida to close it down and send her grandmother to a nursing home. Her grandmother has other plans for her and the book is a struggle to see if Hannah can learn to relax and learn to love again. There is also a sub plot about her daughter and her unplanned pregnancy. Its a great romantic read and keeps you interested until the end. Great to read at the beach or curled up next to the fire on a snowy afternoon.

THIS IS NOT A NEW BOOK
i got two chapters in and realized I'VE READ THIS BEFORE! It makes me feel duped and sorry I wasted my money. I have already paid for this book once before!I checked her book list and I was correct. It was a reissue. I think they should have to state that on the cover or at least on the copyright page. Turns out there isn't even a copyright page for e-books.

Luke and Hannah's Saga... Spoiler Alert.
'Second chances' is this novel's platform. Not only old flames rekindling their love sparks, but generations of Matthews' women reconnecting with each other, and their blossoming love for Seaview Inn. The plot is well written, with characters and dialogue, you'll fall in love with. A Summer MUST-READ! I can wait to see where Luke and Hannah take this love affair.Kudos, Sherryl, you've rediscovered your story telling abilities!!

GOOD BOOK
I enjoyed reading this book. It was consistent throughout. There was no pruient pandering - just told the story and did not get all involved in lovemaking. She left it to the readers imagination. She is beginning to understand that readers like really good books that are well written with a good story line. I've read almost all of her books, and she also is getting better and better.

Another great book by Sherryl Woods!
I really enjoyed Seaview Inn by Sherryl Woods. In addition to the lead character dealing with breast cancer, she is also dealing with her mother's recent death, her aging grandmother, an old crush showing up unexpectedly, and her young daughter who turns up pregnant. It was quite interesting to see what was going to happen in all those situations. Loved the book!

Reprint
The book is very good but after I began reading it, I realized I had read it before. I wish that it would not be billed as "New" but a "reprint" or "reissue". There are quite a few authors that I have been reading for many years and actually don't remember from the description if I have read it 10 years ago. I think a lot of people would be appreciative if the description states when books are a reprint.

Seaview Inn
I was very disappointed in this book, because after I started reading it. It sounded familiar. Then I saw where it was originally published in 2008. It's a shame that Amazon or the publisher do no point this out to you before you buy it. It was a waste of money.

Great book
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and it's sequel. It was very similar to another book Sherryl wrote, which I had just finished. This one took somewhat of a different turn and held my interest and I liked it. I find Sheryl Woods very easy to read and easy to pick up and put me in another world quickly. I need that!

Seaview Inn
I think I like this story line the best. I tend to love the stories she writes that took place in where I have lived or am living now. I love the beach ones the best.
