Ready to rock and roll!
You can tell these mortise irons are going to work fantastic! I also love buying something that was made by guys like us, only the live and work in the Czech Republic! Thanks brothers!

Very nice product.
These mortising chisels compare favorably with other more expensive brands. I have used them on several projects, and they work just like you’d want them to work. They sharpen easily and hold an edge well. I would definitely purchase Narex products again.

Fantastic Mortise Chisels!
These are fantastic mortise chisels! Heck they are fantastic chisels! The build quality is superb with a really thick blades that are firmly attached to a very solid handle. The handles themselves are substantial and have a heft to them too. I have an 1/8" Narex bench chisel with the same style handle, but in blonde beech; ordered at the same time. The beech handle feels flimsy compared to these. I'm not sure what the difference is, but the mortise handles feel better in the hand too. It could be that the blonde bench handle has a slick finish on it, whereas these are more natural.I knew that mortise chisels would be hefty and longer, but I was surprised at how much longer and how much heftier they are. I've included pics of the chisels compared to box store Stanley bench chisels for a size comparison; the one on the left is a 1/2" and the one on the right is 1".Also, one reviewer commented on the packaging. Mine came in the proper Narex box. The interior of the box was a little beat up due to the chisels moving around during shipping. They weren't damaged, but had shredded quite a bit of the box. These are the best mortise chisels you can buy without paying tons of money, yet they are not cheap or flimsy.

Very Good Chisels
Very nice chisels for the price. A little touch up (including removing lacquer and adding a secondary bevel) and flattening on some diamond stones and they were ready to chop. I only had to resharpen twice in 24 mortises in mahogany. Very tough blades and handles. I have some much more expensive bench chisels, but for beating with a mallet, I can’t see getting much better than these at any price. Not my first Narex chisels and likely not my last. Good value!

Good value, sort of?
Like some other reviews, these arrive pretty rough, the steel is very hard, almost brittle more than i'm used to. The backs are in no way "flat" and if you need them that way be prepared to spend some time, I've spent 45 min on the 10mm and haven't even polished it yet, they seem like a decent value for the $, it is for mortising so the don't need to be fancy....

Happy
I am happy with this price point and the item recieved compared to a couple hundo for LV or LN chisels. They take a long time to flatten the back even with a trend diamond but once you do they work good. Not happy with the primary bevel being at 25, was hoping for 30 but I guess that is was the secondary bevel is for :)Steel holds up well enough for the price again compared to LN or LV. I also have the bench chisels and my review is the same for those!

Great set of chisels
I was surprised by the quality of these chisels. For just under $50.00 you get a great set of quality tools. To give you some perspective the 12mm chisel is as wide as it is tall (and the others are taller than they are wide). The handles are turned on a lathe, and judging by tool marks probably by hand. The steel is lightly oiled, and very impressive in weight. The balance is slightly toward the handle. They are honed to a fine degree, however final edge finishing for razor sharp edge may be required. I used them out of the box to cut a a mortise for a new lock with just hand pressure. They were packaged well, and hand solid plastic tip guards to ensure no damage to the edge. Recommended.
