Great bottle warmer
After buying and binning a cheaper bottle warmer I went for the Dr Brown's mainly because I had the Dr Brown's bottles. I have been using it for 5 months now and it's still going great. It works by steaming the bottles, you fill a resovoir on the side of the bottle with water and this will warm several bottles, just re-fill when it gets low. I live in a very hard water area and have found running a water / vinegar mix through every three weeks or so has kept it scale free. The best things about this warmer are that you can set the timer in seconds so you can accurately heat your bottles every time, and it remembers the time you used last so you don't have to re-set it every time you turn it on, the warmer beeps to let you know it has finished, it has a basket with handles which you use to lift out the bottle so no scalding your fingers, and you can use it with just one hand while you hold your (crying) baby with the other. The main downside of the warmer is that it is difficult to clean. If like me you are using the Dr Brown's bottles you must remember to slightly unscrew the top before you heat the bottle, otherwise the milk may travel up the vent and leak into the warmer. If this happens you will be spending a good 20 minutes trying to get the thing clean again - fiddly but it can be done with the help of cotton buds, a bottle brush and a good soak (be careful not to get any water on the outside of the unit). After you have done this once or twice you will remember to unscrew the bottle every time! That aside this is an excellent warmer, it was more expensive than some of the others I was looking at, but I have used it many times a day every day for months and don't regret spending the money.

Bottle warmer for Dr Brown's bottles
This bottle warmer is brilliant. Does the job. Its good for warming up milk quickly when required , also easy for baby sitter to use.uWhen using with Dr Brown's bottles, make sure you unscrew the baby bottle lid, otherwise the milk will travel up the air vent and leak into machine. If you just unscrew the bottle lid a bit, it releases the vaccum so you will not get milk in the machine. You can set the times required, and the machine will remember the last time used. which is great.I would recommend descaling it every 1.5 - 2 weeks though as there is a tendency for the water to go stale if left in the machine.Descaling the machine is easy, you just put half a cap of vinegar with water and turn the machine on, running the water through the machine. I also use a bottle brush with fairy liquid to give it a rinse before descaling. We took this with us when travelling abroad, and it was good to use in the hotel rooms.Healthwise its better for the baby, as it warms the bottle up by steam and does not use microwave or infra red energy.

Great Item
I love this, I can see what other reviewers mean when they say it is hard to clean, but I leave my bottle in the fridge with a travel cap on - when I want to warm it, I put the blue tube and brown wheel on the top and warm it in the steamer like this and it doesn't leak. Once warmed, you can then screw the teat and lid on while it is still in the warmer and lift it out by this (that way you don't burn your fingers!) One reviewer also said that it leaked. It does occasionally, although this seems to be when the water is really low, so I just re fill it once it is 2/3 empty. The only niggle I have found is that if you use it in the kitchen during the day, and in the bedroom at night, when you switch it off to move it, the time resets to 5mins, rather than the last one used, but this isn't a major problem. Overall, this is better than other steamers I have used.

Good but needs modifying
My wife is expressing breast milk a lot so the faff of boiling the kettle and heating the bottle up in a bowl of boiling water was getting too much of a hassle so we decided to buy this little gadget as we have a lot of dr browns bottles. The unit is relatively straight forward to use but requires a bit of trial and error to get the exact temperature right for the baby to enjoy the milk. The unit heats the milk using steam, and you manually set the timer according to whether the milk is room temperature or out of the fridge. I've been testing it with water in a wide neck bottle at room temperature. It takes 2:10s to heat the water (100ml) to approx 38deg, which seems about right as that's pretty much body temp. I'll have to have a play with 100ml from the fridge around 3deg to see what time it needs to bring it to 38deg. So far so good. Once you know roughly how long it will take for fridge milk and room temp milk then this will be an amazing time saving gadget. My slight issue is with the water reservoir on the side. It leaks all over the worktop. Its clearly a design fault which seems like a massive oversight by the manufacturers. It's a known fault covered fairly widely on the internet. I have wrapped a thin strip of gaffa tape around the reservoir approx 4 times and this has solved the leaking problem but I really shouldn't need to do this with a brand new machine. If it leaks again then it will be sent back.

Love it!!!
A few teething problems in the first couple of days as described in previous reviews but soon got it sussed and I love it! Dr Browns bottles.. Don't screw the lid on completely and there won't be any leaks! Only once I've forgotten and there was a fair amount of milk reflux. That said it happens regardless of the device if you don't leave the lid loose when heating so nothing to do with this particular warmer. If you don't switch it off at the mains it will remember your last time set which is great. For me 4 minutes heats a bottle with ready made formula from the fridge to perfection every time! Take the time to figure out the best times for your desired temperature as its absolutely fabulous once you get used to it.

just a great bottle warmer
I had tried a few other bottle warmers when my twins were born this new year and settled on not one but two of these Dr Browns warmers for our bottles. They are so easy to use and are a great value. I really appreciate that the bottles get covered so that they heat up more thoroughly with the steam, and that there is an easy to fill water reservoir so i don't have to try to measure water every time i need to heat a bottle. I also really like both the memory function, so that it remembers how long you had a bottle in for, but also the reheat function so if you have a heated bottle sitting out for a bit it will automatically pump in a lower time for bring the bottle back up to temp.It did take a little fiddling with the suggested times to get the bottles to the warmth our babies liked, but once we had those dialed in we can just pop a bottle in and away it goes. Very quick and easy. And with twin infants, quick and easy is the way to go!

Very good Warner
The product is really good considering it is a steam warmer unlike other warmers. Really quick in warming bottle and the adjustable basket height is really helpful.Paying a premium on the product as it is imported but kind of worth it. The product I received has a European plug so no need of a voltage converter just a pin is enough.Fast delivery.

Get the warmer that actually had thought put into it's design.
We originally purchased a Philips AVENT iQ Bottle Warmer probably mostly cause it looked cool and had pretty buttons. However when our little guy was born, we immediately realized it was a trash design, and I ran out and bought this one.The Dr. Brown warmer is an amazing peice of engineering. It's not over thought, yet well thought out.Features you will care about: #1. The cord wraps up under the device so that it doesn't hang out everywhere #2. It uses Steam to warm the bottle. Exactly the same tech as the Avent. #3. The buttons are easy to press and work very much like a microwave, so no confusion and zero learning curve. #4. The blue light screen can be seen from pretty far away and in the dark. #5. The warmer shows a visual count down in terms of time. So you know exactly how much time you have before it is done. #6. The extra water container is a life saver, as you can replace water and clean the machine only once in a few uses rather than every use. Particularly useful when you're half asleep and only have enough energy to press the buttons. #7. The warmer's top isn't latched or safety locked. This is actually also a good idea as again... it makes for one handed operation easier. #8. The warmer is surprisingly stable even for it's height. It doesn't shift around when you press the buttons.#9. The removable basket can be flipped over to reduce the warmers depth so that shorter bottles ( like 4 oz) can be easily removed/ reached. If you need a solid warmer which is easy to use with no hassle, this is probably your best bet.Update 3 1/2 years later:The product still works fine. Some reviewers said their products have mold and mildew. I had mine (two of them) for 3 and a half years and never had any foul smell or mold in the bottle warmer. I have always loosen the baby bottle so that pressure doesn't built inside the bottle that forces milk out of the nipple and spill into the warmer. I also warm milk in a bottle without the nipple, and just insert the cap/nipple when the milk is warmed. Once a while I forgot and milk could spill into the warmer and makes the reservoir cloudy. I just rinsed it off. When my son was done with bottle, I forgot to clean the water out. 3 months later there wasn't any mold or mildew. Just hard water. If you can do just this simple step, you will not have spill milk that causes cheesy rotten smell. Philips AVENT iQ Bottle Warmer
