Use these from USB-A video docks and works well
Were using USB-A to DP adapter along with DisplayPort cables which had intermittent issues (if not using dock manufacturer brand adapters) which cost twice as much. Single cable works perfectly.

Works well!
a plug in play, no issues, works great for my iPad Pro M1 12.9 for external display on my monitor.

High quality construction, flawless signal
I picked up this USB-C/DisplayPort cable to get the most out of my gaming laptop and ultra-widescreen monitor, which were previously being held back by an HDMI 2.0 connection. Connecting the two with this cable worked just as I hoped, unlocking the full potential of both devices. In use, the cable has no trouble delivering the 3840x1600 resolution and 120Hz refresh of my monitor, with full support for advanced features including HDR and variable frame rate. The USB-C plug has a blue LED that lights up while the cable is connected, a nice touch and not overly bright. The cable is well-made with sturdy plastic connector housings, short but flexible strain reliefs, and a moderately grippy rubber jacket. The wiring is nice and pliable but also feels durable enough for travel. I like that the DisplayPort end has a locking-type connector, something that often goes absent on cheap cables.Overall, an excellent cable that's ready to handle 8K if/when I upgrade to such equipment. You pay a bit of a premium for the Designed for Surface label, but the certification brings peace of mind in knowing that the cable will live up to its claims.

Works great with DP Alt Mode, difficult to unlock/unplug on the DP side
I have a X670E motherboard with a USB-C DP Alt mode port. This cable worked worked just fine when I had the iGPU of my 7700X enabled. My initial testing with it running at 120 Hz and 1440p seemed to work great. I did try enabling VRR in the AMD software but was getting a black screen in and out until I turned it off. Not sure if that is the cable or driver/motherboard issue. The cable itself feels well made, but not stiff. You can easily bend the cable and route it where you want to. My only real complaint with the build quality is the Displayport connector unlock button. To remove the cable you depress the button on the connector, however it was much more difficult with this cable compared to others to actually get it to unlock. I needed to push very hard and much closer to the connector end to remove it.

Highly Recommended! Supports Bi-Directional Operation.
This review is for the Cable Matters Designed for Surface USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable (6 feet/1.8 meters)(Model 201536). Overall, this cable works as advertised, and I verified support for 4K@120Hz from various USB-C laptops (HP Alder Lake-based laptop, HP 845 G9 based on AMD Ryzen 6000-series, and an M1-based Macbook Air) to a DP 1.4 gaming monitor that supports up to 4K@144Hz.For completeness, I also tested the cable in a bi-directional configuration. Using a USB4-based adapter with 4-lane DisplayPort 1.4 output, I connected to the gaming monitor's USB-C input and found that it supported up to 4K@60Hz. This behavior is relatively common for cables like these.Overall, I'm delighted with this cable's performance, and I appreciate the boxy look that complements Microsoft Surface's design language. A small blue LED is built into the USB-C plug to indicate that it's connected to your computer correctly and receiving power. However, it doesn't tell us anything about video out functionality or mode.

this thing saved me
this thing saved me. i recently got a 4k ultrawidescreen LG monitor which was a great idea until i hooked it up to my lenovo thinkpad x1 yoga gen 5, which decided that it did not support 21:9 screen resolution with its graphics card (Intel UHD) and non-HDMI 2.0 input. hello, stretched fat faces of the world. nothing wrong with fat, but the distortion was not in the plans. after researching online as to how to remedy this, someone suggested that HDMI technology has lagged behind displayport technology in supporting 4k ultrawide monitors and to try a workaround that involves a displayport. here comes this cable. USB-C input to displayport output, et voila, the 3440x1440 recommended display works fine and fills out the whole monitor without a second's thought. amazing! so the lenovo hub i just ordered with the displayport output will no longer be necessary. so it goes.

Great quality
This is a great USB-C to DisplayPort cable, it works perfectly and is a nice longer length at 6' so you have room to run the cable behind things if needed. The DisplayPort end has a push-button on it that depresses and releases the clips that hold it tight in the monitor (or whatever you're connecting it to). I have used many Cable Matters brand cables in my years working in IT and I have yet to be disappointed! Definitely recommend!

Solid USB-C cable to DisplayPort Cable for the Microsoft Surface.
I got this cable to connect my Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 onto different computer monitors, projectors and TVs while I travel. It supports 4K/8K resolution and it meets the DP 1.4 standard. It is the perfect length (6 foot) for my needs. The quality of the cable's construction appears to be very good. It includes a cable tie and also has a cool blue light on the end letting you know it is connected. The picture quality is great and let's me project my surface laptop screen onto a larger monitor or projector while I am visiting clients. Overall, I am very happy and feel this is a very good value for the price. It is another great quality cable from a reputable company. I hope they continue to release more cables and docks for the Microsoft Surface.
