Great quality camera
I purchased a few of these and have them connected to a Hikvision Hiwatch NVR via POE.They were easy enough to install (to the soffits, front and rear of house) and have been functioning flawlessly for the last several months in all weather conditions. The picture quality is great in different lighting conditions and the night vision is good enough to see when it's dark.The motion detection is not applicable here as it's the NVR that implements this and in any case, I don't use this feature as my camers record 24/7. Overall, great reliable cameras and good value. Recommended.

Poor software lets it down
When I first got this I thought it had a lot of features but after using it for a while I've realised that the features are poorly implemented, don't work properly, need Internet Explorer (!), need a plugin for IE (!!), and the rest of the world has moved on so these products seems like last-century devices. Cannot recommend at all now.

Worth the money although lacking on a few operational options

great but problems with storage.
Why just 3 stars? If your using network storage to record events the system will not work with larger shares. It keeps ‘losing’ the format status resorting to uninitialised. Im having to use a 64GB memory key shared on the router USB port. Really annoying. Seems to be a known problem as of July 2019. Other then that it works well.

Hardware wise, the device is very good, easy to install, well made etc.Software and features again are good, but the configuration of the motion detection is impossible to get right given the basic settings offered by this device. It will give you too many false positives.There is no line crossing detection with this model so you are limited with what you can get it to do. For this reason, avoid the Hiwatch series from Hikvision and get one of their other cameras that support line crossing / intrusion detection or you will end up with thousands of recording of blowing trees, sunlight casting shadows or insects flying across the screen.Completely stopped working for no reason, cannot reset, cannot access it at all.
