Cupcake World Intense Food Flavouring Maple 100 ml

Having read the mixed reviews of various other maple extracts on the market,, I kept my fingers crossed that this one would be a good one but half-expecting it to have the chemical or bitter taste that others had described for other similar products. I figured the only way I would find out would be to try it - I couldn’t be happier! It made absolutely perfect maple flavoured buttercream icing! Very happy and absolutely will be buying again!

I needed this for an American cake recipe and I haven't been able to travel to the US, where I usually pick up odd ingredients! So it's great to get this online!Perfect!

I was concern with some of the reviews but I google it, did some research, followed advice and it works very well.My recipe: 1 cup white sugar +1 cup brown sugar + 1 cup water, simmer for 5 minutes, turn the heat off and add about 10 drops of the essence and few drops of vanilla essence (it 'rounds' up the flavour), bottle it and voila, maple syrup galore. I've done blind tasting with original canadian maple syrup and you cannot tell the difference.Cannot stress enough: use sparingly!Also, do not use straight essence from the bottle in a recipe. Always make the maple syrup first and then add to your recipe.

The smell is wonderful but the flavour doesn't quite meet expectations. As it contains alcohol, the taste is affected to a degree. In baking, it's absolutely fine, but if you plan on infusing it into drinks then be aware that it'll take a few days to wear off. You do, however, get a lot of product for your money. So it's definitely worth giving a go :)

Great product, intense flavour, and good price.

It arrived promptly and the taste was really lovely and totally natural tasting - I'm really fussy on flavours as some of them out there are really artificial tasting - this is not! It worked perfectly to create a gorgeous maple flavoured buttercream for my cupcakes. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

We use cupcake worlds flavours alot in our shakes, syrups, cakes , frostings, even to make designer marshmallow. The flavours are a great concentration do you dont need alot. I do find the alcohol ones smell pretty weird from the bottle, but when used in the item, the flavour comes through properly. A little definitely goes a long way!! Highly artificial taste. Lacks any resemblance to maple. Awful stuff
