great to mix with tea tree oil to help rid of demodex mites on face and scalp. great for hair
i havent had this for too long. ive had it for a few weeks. and ive only used it a few times so far. ive used it briefly on my scalp and i used it more a few times already on my face, hairline, eyelids, eyebrows, eye lashes i originally brought it because i read online on google based on some drs advice that macadamia oil is very effective as a carrier oil to use with tea tree oil to help dilute the tree oil. these demodex mites are driving me crazy. i came across many articles on google about demodex mites affecting so many people including myself and that most of us never knew about it. most of us dont know that these demodex mites are in our skin. some people find out about the mites when the eye dr check their eyes etc. i knew briefly about dust mites but not all that i now know about these parasites living and mating in our skin. and that these mites cause a lot of hair loss, blurred vision and lots more problems they cause. they even cause the acne on our face etc. along with stress, now i know why i am loosing way too much hair from these dam demodex mites. when i dont even loose hair like that from tons of hair bleaching on top of already bleached hair and or hair colors. sometimes you just dont want to go to the dr even for itching or you just cant go to the dr so thank god for amazon and the seller who sold this product. i would recommend this product to use for your own face, eye lids, eye brows, hairline, body and or hair treatments since it absorbs into the hair follicles and the skin in a good way since it does not leave a greasy feeling on the skin. i cant say this is definitely macadamia oil but whatever it is lol i like it. i am not a person who can identify many true oils etc. all i know is i hope its the real deal and i do like it. its a very light feeling oil, not greasy like coconut oil and olive oil. demodex mites on the face, eye lids, eye brows, hairline, eye lashes, scalp and body are very hard to treat. demodex mites love to eat at our face our facial hairs. they are so hard to get rid of. i read online supposedly, tea tree oil is what you want to x those mites out. but you need to use products continuously to combat these demodex mites. like you need to use products everyday to combat it. these demodex mites are that hard to get rid of by yourself. but they say the tea tree oil is very strong so it should be diluted with macadamia oil or walnut oil. i also brought the tea tree oil from amazon. i did not do a proper or exact measurement when mixing the oils since i really dont know how much of each to use. first i was scared and nervous to use the tea tree oil sine the rave about it being so harsh etc. so i used less. the next few times i used this macadamia oil some of the tea tree oil poured out the bottle too fast so more tea tree oil was used with it. i eventually decided to just allow more tea tree oil to try and combat the demodex mites problem. yes this macadamia oil is helping with the demodex mites severe problems these mites are causing me, so this macadamia oil must be the real deal. overall i like this macadamia oil and the tea tree oil. the tea tree oil with this macadamia oil does not seem to make my face break out with ugly pimples on my face or acne like the argan oil, olive oil, coconut oil and possibly almond oil do. i will update if it does cause major break out on my face etc. but for now im ok with a few tiny pimples if i get it or may already have. as long as it take these demodex mites away i am so very serious. my face feels like baby soft skin after using this macadamia oil and tea tree oil mix. after the macadamia and tea tree oil has been sitting in my skin, i notice that its just a slightly light semi oily feeling but not greasy so here and there i would just wipe over my face with my hands. the macadamia oil is not irritating on my face. i havent used the macadamia oil alone on my face yet but i definitely will try. i also put this macadamia oil with the tea tree oil on my scalp to help treat the itchyness from the demodex mites that was driving me crazy. i do believe this macadamia oil is great overall for hair face and body. i would definitely buy this oil again. i do rinse off the tea tree oil with the macadamia oil that i put on my face and scalp. i just rinse my face with water. i just rinse my scalp with water and or whatever other hair products i use. i also dont use this everyday because i dont have the time too. i wish i did. i would love to make out time to use this macadamia oil a lot more often. this macadamia oil with the tea tree oil is helping to minimize the demodex mites issue on my scalp, face, eye brows, eye lids, hairline, eye lashes. these demodex mites was and still is attacking me in all those places esp because i need to deal with other issues to help with the problem and because i dont use this with the tea tree oil everyday. i do believe this macadamia oil along with the tea tree oil and the oust demodex cleanser is a very powerful way to combat these dam demodex mites parasites critters etc. if you have the time to treat your demodex more often i believe your results will be much more better. today i decided to go further into my eyebrows with my tweezers lmmfao lol :-) i was clawing at my brows with my tweezers cause these mites are driving me crazy i was like come on lol. i was scrapping at my eye brow pores and so much dry skin and or mites for all i know lol was falling out. i was paying attention to see if i was loosing hairs from my eye brows and i only lost about one to two hairs from my eyebrows so i am not worried about that. my eyebrows feel a hell of a lot better at the moment but note that i can still feel these creeping about my face and my eyebrows slowly which i do feel right now. but its a major difference after i have been scrubbing my eye brows with q tips and i also use the q tips to go over my eye lashes and upper and lower eye lids to help scrub away at the demodex mites. i try to be careful and not get these oils in me eyes. esp the tea tree oil. i do believe the tea tree oil is very harsh and one dr mentioned he learned the hard way and he did not use the tea tree oil alone again without something else lol. he says it burns. so note that it can be very harsh on your eye lids and your eyebrows. esp under the eyebrow area that you tweeze. at the time you tweeze the brows and of course with scrapeing that area with the tweezers, it will make your brow area more sensitive at that time to burning from the tea tree oil. it will burn more and its very rough on the eye lids if you do not dilute it enough. i had saw a dr video of the dr scrubbing the eye lids with their dr products for the demodex with q tips. be careful not to get the tea tree oil in your eyes i wouldnt want to get any oil in my eye as well. i would assume the tea tree oil might be harmful to the inside of the eyes but i do not know. i think the eye dr uses other treatments with the q tips that go inside the eye safely. i dont think i have that product by oust demodex cleanser. maybe it is lol i dont know and im not risking trying it either lol. it may be only for the drs. dam i barely feel these mites in my eyebrows atm lol. i am like waiting for them to torture me and i must have did a good job with scrapping most of them lol yee haw. yes :-) i dont recommend you scrape your eye brows back and forth with your tweezers but i did it for the first time today and i dont regret it. it freaking worked to get rid of more demodex mites lol yes. :-) i also noticed my eyebrows looked light weight after the scrapping with the tweezers as if the demodex was making my eyebrows thicker and darker. i was able to see through my eyebrows much more. it was weird that the mites was harming my brows to that point. crazy. i also read that the demodex mites eat your proteins and your nutrition and you wonder why your hair may grow slow if it does and why your face has acne and pimples etc. by time i was done with this review i can feel the mites bothering my eyebrows still. the mites seem to be more in my eyebrow area than any where else. if i can relieve this major itchyness from my brows, then i can do a hell of a lot more in life. but like i said i do know believe this oil is helping me in many ways.

Great way to Feed Your Face!
I have used dozens of creams and oils thruout the yrs., but found macadamia oil is a much less expensive alternative and this brand is great. A small bottle lasts me about 3 mos, and you truly only use 2-3 drops to cover your whole face. My face tends to be on the drier side due to many yrs of being in the sun. (FL). It soaks into my skin quickly (within a couple of minutes ) it does not leave an oily feel on my face. This is my forever face treatment!!!

it's not as thick as castor oil but it's not thin like coconut oil either
Not sure if this is the real oil. First this oil has been deorderized so the nutty, distinct scent of macadamia nuts is gone. Next the oil is a very light amber color, almost clear. Texture is slightly thick, it's not as thick as castor oil but it's not thin like coconut oil either. It's in the middle. Last bottle of macadamia oil I bought was food grade by Roland and was beautiful. I never cooked with it however it was everything this oil isn't. I'll use the oil as it appears to be good for my dry skin and hair but I don't think I'll be reordering. I prefer my macadamia oil to not be deorderized and bare a darker tone.Understandably oils that are processed to be pure is clear in tone I just don't know for sure if I got what I paid for in this bottle.

Healthy fats fade acne scars
Love it for winter. Have been using this as an oil cleanser and a last step to my nighttime routine. Noticing a healthy glow on my cheeks, and my acne scars are fading with the help of macadamia oil! Personally I don't have this problem, but some people have said that the oil feels sticky on the skin.

My Friends in Ecuador use this for their beautiful skin!
This product is a bit too heavy for my face, but GREAT for lips!

Oil
If you have a sensitive scalp I would recommend using every once and a while. It personally makes my scalp itch using it every few days.

I have been using this around my eyes to moisturize. An added benefit is it has strengthened my eyelashes!
