Let's face it there are no great instant coffees. Also, I am not a big fan of coffee with creamer and sugar. The only reason I bought this coffee was for backpacking. I have tried every instant I can find including Alpine Start (rated 4.5 stars at REI) and Starbucks. None of them are good. It's as if your are drinking a concoction made from burnt coffee grounds. In spite of my distaste for cream and sugar this coffee actually tastes good. The flavor is round and smooth. It has no burnt and bitter flavors that all the others seem to have. If I liked sweet, creamy coffee I would have rated this at least a 4. If I was going to hike for more than a couple of weeks I think I would either take fresh ground coffee or temporarily give up on my addiction. Don't let them kid you, there's nothing special about Alpine Start.

Fantastic instant coffee - I've always loved instant 3-in one Vietnamese coffees but most have too much cream and sugar or just not enough coffee flavor. This one is bold and you can definitely taste the coffee. It has much less sugar which I like and I can just add a little sugar if I'm in the mood for a sweeter cup. The cost is a bit higher than the average instant coffee packets but if you prefer bold quality coffee flavor over a cup of cream and sugar with a hint of coffee, the cost difference will be worth it. I bought one box to try out first and I will absolutely be buying more.

The only thing this crap is good for is to make filthy disgusting water. I don't know how anyone can bring themselves to swallow this swill outside of being forced at gunpoint to drink it. Stay clear of this witches brew if you know what's good for you.

For the price, I won't buy it again. Personally I think there is another brand that's better. And it's only about .20 cents per packet. This had a weird flavor to me.

I'm not a Starbucks/Pete's snob. I'll drink just about any coffee. I do like the taste of this one as a morning brew for backpacking. Light, convenient, simple

I discovered this coffee when at the nail salon they offered me a cup. I instantly fell in love with it and was so happy it was on Amazon! I am not normally a coffee drinking and usually prefer tea. I would only get coffee at Starbucks or Coffee Bean when I could get a more fancy kind of drink. This coffee is simple and delicious and far less money than a latte. The flavor is excellent and now I can't imagine starting my day without it. I am a repeat buyer and will continue to make sure my home is always stocked with this tasty and easy to make product. I am a huge fan!!! It is the best part of my morning!

Great travel coffee, I used this coffee on a trip to mainland Mexico just heat water and mix. No carrying sugar or buying 1/2 and 1/2. Packets are easy to use and the coffee tastes great..
