Great little convenience when repairing film cameras and lenses.
I use this for touching-up inside film cameras, lenses, and other optical apparatus after repairs or modifications. Marks left on screw heads vanish with just a dab. Great for those occasional 'oops I slipped' moments when replacing light seals. But they really shine for use on lens retaining rings. These rings thread into the lens housing and hold the glass lens elements in place. They have slots (or holes) to engage a lens spanner wrench. It's almost impossible to get them out without leaving some sort of mark in that slot. Sometimes the paint chips inside or around the slot leaving a bright metal surface - very unsightly. One little dab, wait a few minutes or hit the ring with a heat gun (before reinstalling) and good as new. Paint has good coverage, good adhesion, dries quickly, and flattens well. I haven't used this in areas that will get handled so I can't comment on durability. On the bad side the tip is a rather soft and flattens or gets fuzzy very easy. It's much softer than the tip of a regular marker. Also, to my surprise, the tip will very easily pull out of the marker. I often 'sharpen' marker tips by trimming them with a razor blade for fine work. I went to take a slice off the tip and the razor pulled it from the marker and it landed on the floor. Another issue is to get the paint flowing one 'pump it' by pushing the tip in and out, usually against a flat surface. This will blunt the tip.Until I found these I had been using a black Sharpie - acceptable for small spots but too glossy.Summary:Pros: (1) Works well, good quality paint. (2) Dries fast. (3) Super convenient. (4) Nice for camera work.Cons: (1) Soft tip. (2) Awkward to get started. (3) Tip not held in place very securely.

good for my jeep steel bumper
so far it is working just great for my jeep bumper ! the other company , a well known one, i had was junk. it was dry or empty with one use - this pen is great so far and matchs the bumper way better then the other one i threw outlets hope it does not dry out or die as fast as that other brand ... the pen also sounds like it has more paint in it , i can at least hear is sloshing around in there where as the other one was sounding almost empty from start.i will update as the week goes by and let ya know how well its doing , so far i like this pen better

Great Marker
Been looking for a flat black marker that works on metal and this is the one. Love it. Drys flat. Paint pen doesn’t dry out like other pens. Perfect for my needs. I wish they had other colors in flat. Will continue to purchase.

Works great!
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this, but it’s actually perfect so far. I needed it to color the silver eyelets on my boots black (I hate silver). A lot of the reviews said to shake it a ton, so I shook it for about 3 minutes. The pain flowed great after gently pumping the top into a piece of scrap paper. The paint directly from the pen is good for large surfaces, but I decided to pump some out onto a paper plate and apply it with a paintbrush. That worked better and cleaner for my purposes. Maybe I should have just bought it in a bottle! Haha!Overall, I love it. It dried matte on the metal I used it on, which I wasn’t expecting, but it looks good anyway.I’m probably going to get more colors!

Horribly ineffective
I fought for half an hour to get paint to come out of this thing. Would not brush any on at all. The tip was too dried out and in my frustration I ruined the custom wrap around my PS5 (where I was trying to paint the edges) and so I had to remove the wrap, which then broke my PS5. I could scream I am so upset. Do not buy this garbage.

Worked on metal
Liked reviews, I used it on a metal surface. Put 1 coat on let it dry, then final coat which made surface look nice again.

Seems ok
I used it for fixing the covers on a couple knives that were done pretty poorly. On another note, this place gives you a date of when this should have arrived. Mine was May 5th However, this took until May 17th to finally arrive.
