The Wing: Documentary of the F-15

Very interesting film on not just the pilots and the F-15, but also shows the people who are responsible for making sure those pilots have an airplane to fly in. I was particularly interested in this video as it showcased the 36 TFW out of Bitburg Air Base, a unit that I as a GCI radar operator worked with quite a bit in the early to mid 1980"s.

I am biased on this as i was stationed at the base this was filmed shortly after it was made. Knew a lot of people in it and loved it. If you were at Bitburg AB in the 53 TFS in early eighties it is a must have.

This is not an expensive DVD, nor should it be. It's an older documentary that describes the life of F-15 pilots. Good for Air Force and F-15 fans.

Could have been more flying.

Obviously an old video with equally old music, but a great addition to the collection of any hardcore aviation fan.

This was a truly enjoyable documentary about a great airplane, with a top speed exceeding that of either an F-22 or an F-35.

I'd hoped for a video about the F-15. This is centered on the staffing of the F-15. Years ago I bought a video about "Flying Rte. 66," and it was a colossal disappointment. This one goes on the same shelf.

It;s actually about a F-15 wing, not an F-16 wing. The setting is back in the cold wars days on a base in Europe. Video and audio are okay but I wished it was re-mastered and clean up a bit for DVD quality as it appears to be a straight copy from a VHS tape. But if you are into Military Avaition like me, it was good to watch and a nice addition to my collection.
