This hat is a nice size, a little smaller than many inexpensive Panama hats but the inside is not at all adjustable and it is a little large for my already slightly large head. The colour is not as dark as I thought it would be. I would call the colour brown rather than dark brown. The shape of the hat is nice and as seen in the photographs. While there is visible nylon thread throughout the body, it is not as noticeable as it is in many hats. The ribbon band does not look great. It does not appear to be a nice, standard, grosgrain ribbon and the way that it is adhered to the hat body looks less than perfect. All that said, I have hunted for a replacement hat for a black paper, Banana Republic Panama for about a year. I have bought and returned countless hats. This one is the nicest I've found. Nice enough I'm ordering a second in black. I did need to trim some sharp ends on the in and outside of the hat.

I wear a 7 5/8 hat, and this fits exactly. It is soft and flexible, so it fits my long oval head just fine. There is an adjustment inside for smaller heads.The hat was in a bag, not a box, but it recovered its shape immediately. It will be just great!

The hat was a little large so I thought I would have to put something around the inside. I then noticed two black ribbons so I gave them a pull and guess what, the hat size is adjustable. No where did I find instructions for this. I found the best way to adjust this is to first tie a single knot and then pull the ribbons away from each other, (the same way you would tie your shoes before making the bow), then make the bow. Obviously you may have to do this several times to find the correct fit. I decided to end with a bow rather than a double knot so I could readjust the size more easily. I doubt that you can make the hat larger so this is probably a one way adjustment.

In July '17, the hat arrived defective, due to poor packing. It was packed side-ways and the brim was deformed. The plastic bag was too small for the brim. The fit was way too big. The quality is not worth the price.

Now I look cool and I am cool!

Great fit! This was a replacement hat for one I’d gotten in Costa Rica, but lost. It’s the perfect hat for a warm vacation with lots of sun in the forecast!

Details should include whether the brim is stiff or not. In this case, it is not. Size cannot be adjusted the way it was advertised to.

Hut passt, ist aber etwas schwer.Beschreibung nicht ganz korrekt: sagt 100% stroh (bzw. "100% paperstraw"- aber alle nähte sind klar aus synthetischem Material wodurch der hut v.a. in der Sonne etwas glitzert (wenn man die bilder genau anschaut kann man das retrospektiv erahnen, aber bei sonne wird es sehr deutlich). Daher: Ok für den Preis aber nichts für Puristen.

buon acquisto arrivato nei tempi promessi in un imballaggio scarsino. in ogni modo al mare ha fatto il suo dovere. certamente non è un prodotto di pregio fabbricato magari a Cuenca però anche i koreani hanno fatto un discreto lavoro

Compré el sombrero buscando un estilo parecido al Panamá. Cumple muy bien este objetivo y es fácil de moldear. Viene con una cinta interior que ajusta el tamaño.

Es un sombrero que se aparta algo de lo esperado en sentido positivo por el color y el tejido con el que está hacho.

kann man gut in der sonne tragen würde ich wieder kaufen.
