Not only is Bandit a good training shoe, it's also a great all around horseshoe for general use, making it the perfect picnic or backyard set. They are designed to take a beating... daily use is expected, but if used only occasionally, a set of Bandits could last a lifetime! The Bandit Horseshoe is our entry level model. It is designed to help players learn to perfect either the turn or flip pitch. Bandit's slightly lighter weight is a key feature that helps beginning players quickly master the art of the "soft toss technique" eventually leading to precision control of the shoe. The lack of weight on its tips is intentional, as it forces the player to over-exaggerate flip or turn techniques during the learning process, helping to engrain those motions faster. For flip pitchers, the rear thumb cleat is shaped with a slightly steeper angle and lip than a normal flip shoe which helps it to flip easier. On the inside center edge of the shoe, there are notches that help the player to learn proper finger placement and spacing. For the turn player, Bandit features extra long straight blades, giving the player ample room to adjust grips up and down the blade, making it easy to experiment with all the various turns. All edges are smooth and rounded for easy release for either the turn or flip technique. Bandit replaced the Diamond Super Ringer in our offering when Diamond ceased production in 2009.
