For me this headlight is more about what I am using it for in the home as I do not participate in jogging or cycling but can absolutely see why people should just love this headlamp as I do. In the box I received the headlamp, rechargeable batteries, a USB cable to charge the batteries and instructions for use. You do not need anything else beyond what is in the box to have full use of the head lamp immediately.The headlamp has three different lighting modes to choose from including one light, two lights or all three lights for the brightest level of lighting you can get The other mode is a strobe mode in the event you are out and experience an emergency and need to alert people you need help. The head straps are stretchable plus they are adjustable so you will get the perfect fit making sure the lamp does not slip during use. There is also a piece of plastic that lays on your forehead that makes it more comfortable around and helps keep the headlamp in place so you do not experience movement during use.The reason I purchased this for myself is I love crafting and beading and other tiny craft projects were you need both hands and a lamp just doesn’t cut it. Now I don’t have to worry about casting shadows over my work like in the past due to working around a hot lamp. That is another thing good to mention is these are LED lights so they do not heat up during use so your head stays cool and you do not get too hot when using it. This is great for small repairs and other things you need to do and comes in handy for looking under cabinets or using both hands when making small repairs at your home. Personally I think it would be great in a power outage if you keep it charged all the time since it has a long battery life (8 hrs) you can turn it on to walk around and see where you are going if you need to look at your breaker box or if you are just waiting for them to fix the power. The longer I have been using it the more things I have found that I like it for. Excellent must have product that I am so happy of this purchase.

I was debating between this one and a cheaper one with a similar star rating, but after watching a video that another buyer posted here I decided to pay more and hope it really was the best choice. There's no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision. I'm using it for night fishing for catfish and it has exceeded my expectations. At the lake were I fish at night there's a buoy about 150 feet from shore and this headlamp illuminates it quite well when the light is zoomed in to it's strongest setting. I only have one complaint about it. That is the flashing strobe light is something that would only be used to signal for help and as it stands now you need to scroll through that function to turn off the headlamp. What I would have preferred would have been to have it to were if you held down the power button down for say 3 seconds then the strobe function would come on. That would eliminate having to go through that irritating function every time you are turning off the headlamp. Other than that it a great light that should meet just about anybody's needs in a headlamp. As somebody else mentioned even with the large battery pack on the back of the head strap it is balanced nicely so I could comfortably wear it from sunset to sunrise. I love it!

This powerful headlamp really has a bright beam. I bought it mostly for hunting and tracking of deer. I have used it already for hiking and exploring caves and shining on the local fields spotting for deer. It does give off enough light to spotlight into fields for deer. I anticipate using it for mountain biking at night. I have not tried to fit it to my helmet yet though. I like the balanced weight between the light and batteries on the strap. The whole thing is much larger then I anticipated. The light is bigger then what I expected and the batteries are much larger then standard AA type batteries. But the weight of each is not felt as they are placed on the front and the back of the head strap. The one drawback I see is not having a real soft setting for the light. Its like daylight or nothing. There is no low setting. I have not run it for a long continuous time so I cannot verify the runtime of the device. The on/off button is real easy to locate with your hand without looking and feels pretty durable. The light rotates up and down and I was a little worried that failure of this part would be an area of concern. I have seen with many other headlamps fail here and flop around, but It seems like the swivel bracket is fairly strong.

It's a good headlight that's well made and very bright. I like its ability to focus the center spotlight and the side lights give me more of a floodlight, which is nice while working in an attic. The battery pack at the back helps balance the heavy front lights but I began to feel the weight after fifteen minutes. The text and video of the headlight says that there is a plastic headband that should be worn and that might make it more comfortable but mine didn't come with it. I might have sent it back for this but I found an immediate use for the headlight and found that hot gluing a piece of felt to the front of the headband made it much more comfortable. Also, my head is 7-1/4 (US) and the headband at its loosest is still quite snug. It would be nice is I had a little more slack. For those reasons I'm just going to give it a 4.
