I was super skeptical about these at first. I bought a 2020 Gheenoe LT25 with a poling platform. The tubing is about 1-1/2 or 1-5/8 inch diameter. I didn’t want to get the welded on version from factory as I like to adjust things.I am very excited about these. I used some rubber mats cut up to act as a buffer. I didn’t want these to scratch my poling platform tubing. It will scratch it but if you find a place you want it, it’ll be fine. I plan on moving these a few times until I settle on the final position. I want to use them to carry a rod whole fishing, inshore trolling, and bait and waiting.Last weekend my wife and I went to 6 different stores, 3 of them multiple times... in order to figure out how install rod holders. These came in Sunday and I was thrilled. We had just installed kayak style rails and rod holders on the deck for removable and adjustable rod holders so I can fly fish. I wanted something I could carry more rods with and maybe a landing net. These look good and I had no issues with quality. I doubt they will work well with a landing net without being modified.There is a plastic liner that will keep a rod from passing through the bottom. If you want to use this for a landing net, you will have to use a Dremel to remove the plastic bottom. All SS rod holders like this will have a plastic liner like this FYI. I’ve look at plenty of them. No one sells one that is for large tubing. All store bought rod holders will cost almost 3 times as much and you’ll only get one.So if you are skeptical, I highly recommend this. Especially if you are adding them to a poling platform.I recommend using blue loctite on the threads, including the center bolt.

Product seems to be of quality stainless steel material, has held up well.Set screw for adjusting the angle of rod holder is not adjustable unless you completely remove it from the clamped position, would be nice if you could adjust without removing.

Put these as additional holders on my Tiara. Works good, looks good.
