Sierra International 18-7633 Marine Trim Sender and Limit Kit

Replacement for a 1983 Mercruiser 305. These are sealed, so better than OE. Quality parts, thick protective covers on the wires.These did come with the integrated rubber stopper that goes through your transom.

These are legit the price was excellent when I purchased. These aren't your middle of mill replacements made of plastic and thin wire. These are quality and perfect! Will buy again ....

I just received my Sierra International Marine Trim sender and limit switch units. The items were packaged nicely and comes with everything shown in the picture plus an instructional sheet on how to install, route the wiring and calibrate the units to one's Trim gauge on the boat's dashboard. The package does not include the two screws (3/16ths dia.-32tpi by 11/16ths long) that attach the trim units to the outdrive housing nor the metal clip that holds the units in place. Although it was not a huge problem for me because I had some spare screws in my parts bin that I was able to use. I had to make the two metal clips that hold the pucks in place at the adjustment slots. Normally the screws are already on the boat but in my scenario the previous owner had removed the Trim limit and Trim Sender pucks (and associated hardware) due to the wiring being rotted away.I feel the supplier of these units should also include the screws and clips with the purchase of a complete set. But like I said earlier, I was able to supply my own screws so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Now, just waiting for the bellows kit to arrive to install these on the boat.

This unit looks, fits, and plugs into the existing out drive and wiring like an OE part would. I was happy about that. The wire casing is a little thicker, making it difficult to install through the stern, and it doesn't activate the guage as smoothly as I had expected, but it does work. I think I would suggest spending the extra $ on the OE Mercury units.

Get OEM if you can. These work but their range and response is something I can’t really get to align with my boat. Usually slow to respond and the range doesn’t fit normal trim adjustment in use. Real pain to install so it’s sucks extra that they don’t do what they should.

What a pain to install!! Not because of product, rather because of what you gotta go through to run the wires. Good product. Works perfect.
