Calcium Chloride Flake - Dihydrate - CaCl2*2H2O - (10 lb)

This stuff isn't really being sold as an ice melter, but that is what I wanted it for. The flakes STAY WHERE YOU PUT THEM! The round pellets, which is what is mostly available, bounce and roll away if they are spread across hard solid ice. I wish the FLAKES were much more available. They just work better, period.

Not sure in this one. I bought it to use a pickle crisp. I gave it 4 stars as it came as advertised but I have not heard back from anyone as to whether or not I can use it for keeping homemade pickles crisp. I can't see why it wouldn't do the job. I might just try it out and see what the results are.

I use this to pump up calcium levels to ~60PPM for health mystery snail shells in my aquarium. Works well, snails have nice shells.
