FZONE Aquairum Mini Glass Skimmer Lily Pipe for Mini and Nano Tank

I have had this filtration outlet for a few days now and these are my thoughts on it so far.Pros: Well made glass. strong and attractive piece Good suction cups unlike some glass outlets I have gotten in the past Great Co2 diffusion and dispersion Can be used in place of an air stone if you are not using co2 Outlet has strong focused flow for good circulation Cleans up some clutter in a high tech setup. Mari Condo style.lol.Cons: I haven't had to clean it yet but I know that will be an issue. I don't see a good way to clean in the co2 chamber. Maybe magnets with filter wool or a good soak in a bleach solution will do it. Ill update on that later. The inlet for the co2 chamber is oriented straight down. Over time water from the inlet makes its way into the co2 line. So far not an issue though. I looped my co2 line on the side of the tank to create a trap for the backed up water so it wont make it to my gas canister. Could be an issue for some.Summery: Overall it is a well made and well thought out filter outlet that cleans up a bit of clutter in a High tech setup with some minor issues that are not really a deal breaker but could be for some. In a nutshell it is a great product if the cons don't bother you get it.

The media could not be loaded. Quality of glass seems sturdy but I would be sure to lubricate with tank water and minimize twisting of glass when connecting to the piping. I would’ve liked to see a smaller designed outlet for better flow but it’s no deal breaker. I’ve still got plenty of surface agitation as you can see by the video. The lily pipes look good and the skimmer does its job when it’s leveled correctly. Great for anyone with a nano tank looking for an upgrade.

I was a bit hesitant based on the other reviews but went for it anyway.My experience has been nothing but positive. This is not a "plug and play" set as you might hope. It takes a little tweaking to get the right suction balance. For me I had to adjust the output of my canister filter so it didn't try to move too much water (the pump is way oversized for my tank) and then tweak the intake balance between the skimmer and screen using the "dial" thing on the bottom of the glass intake piece. On mine the little dial is snug and definitely won't fall out on its own - seems they have the o-ring size figured out. If I left my filter pump on full blast or balanced it too much toward suction from the skimmer, it created so much suction that it pulled air in and caused the gurgling sound another reviewer mentioned.You can see in my pic that I have a nice balance of suction pulling water from the skimmer as evidenced by the water line with the thin layer of scum on it and that it's got a few little sprigs of plants sucked onto it. The bottom also has some little stems stuck on, so it's definitely pulling from both.I keep shrimp in my tank and on two occasions a little guy has been caught in the space between the skimmer extension tube and the main glass it slides into. I have enough moss that baby shrimp don't really get close to the intake so I don't think I've lost any.Looks-wise it's really nice. The lily pipe is basically invisible in the back of my tank. It creates a gentle surface turbulence to help oxygenate, but doesn't break surface tension and release my CO2.As for the sinking skimmer, there is an inverted "tray" on the bottom of the plastic skimmer piece. When you lower the skimmer into the intake, you need to be careful to leave air in that try so it has buoyancy - otherwise it will get sucked right down.

This is my first time using a inline diffuser/ outflow. Ive been in hobby for a good five years and I've never seen one that's made completely out of glass. I'm really satisfied with the way it looks and functions. This is a new product by fzone and I must say it's a true beauty. The glass work is top quality and just a really nice addition for all planted tank enthusiast. It works as a co2 diffuser and filter output so it's a 2 in 1 item. I've been using a in tank diffuser but never one with a diffuser built in the outflow combo. This item deletes all the ugly co2 diffuser and hoses in your aquarium making it look a lot cleaner. I was skeptical at first but now I'll recommend it to anyone that wants to declutter their fish tank. No more ugly co2 diffuser, co2 tubing, and suction cups in your tank. This product distributes co2 a lot better and more evenly then your traditional in tank diffuser. Overall a Really cool invention/concept and pretty good value for your money. It's going to get a lot of attention from friends and family, noticing this beauty shine. Good bye in tank diffuser and hoses. I'm really happy with purchase and would buy from again without hesitation, if I needed another one in the future.

I picked this pipe for its size and price. It fits on my 4 gallon tank very nicely and is not super fragile. The only complaint I have is the surface skimmer and the suction cups. The first maybe two weeks it worked nicely, as pictured below in a before and after photo, but now it does not seem to bring water in at all. Not sure if that is the skimmer itself or my to be completely honest. The suction cups are not the best, but it isn’t the end of the world. On the positive side the pipe leaves a nice amount of wiggle room between the glass. I am overall satisfied enough that I did purchase another one. This works nicely enough for nano tanks and those on a budget. If anyone uses UNS tanks it works on the UNS 60S and the 5N, both glass and height wise.

Beautifully crafted. These are the only glass pipes that are appropriate for a smaller tank under 10 gallons. The skimmer works flawlessly. The lily pipe creates quite a bit of surface agitation. That may be a plus or minus depending on your set up and what you're looking for. No problems using with 1/2" hose, nice tight fit.

Tenía duda de que llegaran bien, pero afortunadamente viene muy protegida la caja y el producto llegó en perfectas condiciones. Cumplen con su función perfectamente y dan una mejor vista. 13mm queda bien en equipos lomas.

Sieht super aus und tut genau was es soll. Ich hab Ein-und Auslauf an meinem JBL CristalProfi e402. Dh. der Skimmer kommt auch mit kleinen Aussenfiltern prima zurecht.

Temevo che, nonostante le foto che pubblicizzano il prodotto, questo fosse troppo grande per una vasca "nano". Invece le misure sono perfette! Sto allestendo una vasca 30x30x30 (27 lt) e come si può vedere dalla foto le misure sono assolutamente adeguate. Il vetro è di buona qualità e trasparenza nonostante il prezzo contenuto se paragonato a quello delle marche di riferimento per questo tipo di hobbistica. Assolutamente da consigliare a che sta allestendo un Nano acquario con filtro esterno. Unico neo le ventose che sono decisamente grandi rispetto alla grandezza delle pipes.
