Read all the reviews and buy it
Fantastic buy. This umbrella really has impressed me in the time since I purchased it as it is pretty damn solid for what I paid for it.I did my research on this, as many of you are doing right this very moment, and I say buy it. The little rivets are rusting a bit, yes. It may not fit in your little purse. Your bichonaranian puppy is probably freaked out when you open it, not sure what he thinks of the rivets when you store it in the purse the umbrella wont fit in because the pooch is in the purse as well... lose the dog as he isn't very rain repellent. The umbrella is very well built, minor rivet rust aside, and very easy to use for most people. It snaps open very fast and the spring loaded ribs of the canopy are quite solid and resist winds very well. Even if it does flip outside there is no damage. The most impressive feature of the umbrella is how quickly the canopy will snap closed with a second press of the handle button, make sure you tilt the umbrella away from you as it will leave water on the ground when the canopy collapses. My final observations regarding the one button opening and closing of the umbrella, and reset -Opening - The button requires a very firm button press to trigger. Odds are there will be no "accidental" deployment and when it deploys, it will be in the matter of a couple seconds. It could possibly injure someone or yourself, be sure it is pointed away from you and anyone else when you deploy it.Closing it - The same button requires a very firm button press to trigger. The umbrella canopy closes just as fast as it opens, any water on the canopy will instantly fall to the ground when the canopy almost instantly disappears..make sure it is not over you.Resetting - Unfortunately it is not mechanically possible to press the button and have the canopy open again after closing it, you need to reload the mechanism by pressing the now closed umbrella canopy back towards the base of the umbrella, and that resets the umbrella springs so you can press to deploy, press to collapse the canopy. The umbrella has a sturdy plastic tip in the center of the canopy, you can actually press it against the ground or wall to reset it easily without worry of damage. If you have arthritis in your hands you may have hard pressing the button.Edit 12/2/2017Well after a few months of use one of the small knuckles on a rib somehow got bent and broke. I emailed Tiago gear a picture of the knuckle and and a copy of my invoice and they replaced the umbrella at no cost, using 2 day shipping.I am very happy with Tiago Gear overall.Edit 10/12/2018It has been a wet fall here in the northeast and the replacement umbrella Tiagogear sent me last year is still in my possession and performing great. I have been using it a lot as of late and I remembered that I had an issue with my first purchase many moons ago, they replaced it really fast, and Im still using it today. If you are gonna buy an umbrella, make it this one. If it fails they will replace it real fast and it is worth it. Product, service, cost.. worth it.

Good basic umbrella
I've owned this umbrella for a month and today is the first rainy day that I've been able to use it. The open/close mechanism works well, the quality of the fabric seems good, the mechanical structure of the frame seems strong. If anything, I notice that the area of the umbrella is only large enough for two people walking closely together. No a problem, since this is my work umbrella, it is plenty large enough for me. Some people might have a need for a very large umbrella and they should check around to see if another one might better suit their needs.

Sturdy, cost-effecitve little umbrella
I was surprised by the quality of this umbrella, given the cost. While not heavy, it does have a substantial weight to it, and opens with a good bit of "uumph." It's compact and powerful, and stood up to some medium wind. While I haven't weathered any crazy rain/wind storms with it yet, it held its integrity while I watched the cheap umbrellas that vendors sell to tourist umbrellas turn inside out.The only downside is that there's no auto-close, and pressing the shaft back into the handle is pretty tough. I have to press it against the ground or a wall to get it to close, as it's rather stubborn. That said this is a very resilient little umbrella, very sturdy for the cost.

Small, well engineered, and inexpensive.
I bought this to keep in a sports car that has very limited room and am very happy with my purchase. It fits snugly in the small door pocket during the wet months and stores nicely in the glovebox when not needed.I have not had to test it in the rain yet, but the construction is very sturdy and the engineering is such that I have confidence it will do well in high winds. There was a review complaining that their umbrella didn't automatically retract. It should be known that the 'close' button will only collapse the canopy when it is open, you still need to retract the pole. This is true with all auto open & close umbrellas.Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Broke in a week after a few days of use
First time I used it, I used it in the field at my job on a gross, wet day. Worked like a charm, a simple press of the button left me pretty well protected. The umbrella is very light and seemed durable, something that I enjoyed. I left it in my truck only to find, when I tried it a few days later on another rainy day, upon pressing the "open umbrella button", it shot out of my hand a good 10 feet into the rain. It would only partially open and I had to struggle to get it open all the way; closing it was equally difficult. If I tried to make the umbrella compact, it would shoot back up, making for an awkward situation inside my work truck. All in all, the umbrella seemed pretty great on my first use with it--I was extremely satisfied with it until it malfunctioned. Now, maybe I'm an outlier and got a faulty product, but I would steer clear of this umbrella for another just to be safe.

Decent, minor things I don't like
For the price it's decent. It's very difficult to lock shut, you require a lot of force, and you got to make sure you push it in properly otherwise it'll pop open again. Also there's not much of a different feel for the button; something I noticed I do with umbrellas is I don't really look for the button I just feel for it and then fire away; with this there's not a noticeable difference between and the rest of the handle so I have to look at the umbrella to find it and doing that carrying all my stuff from work is a hassle.

A great umbrella for the price
This umbrella is very compact and served me very well in college. The cheap price means that if it lasts me a few months I'm totally fine with that, but this thing did more than that, and I expect to use it at least through the next year. Rochester has a lot of rain, so this thing gets frequent use by me when I have to walk to class. Highly recommend if you need a cheap umbrella that will last a few years. The only gripe I have with it is that the mesh on the top could be of a bit higher quality, as it started to fray after a few months, but did not impeded its functionality.
