Great case!
This dpn case is exactly what I was looking for - the slots are sized for different needle sizes in increasing order and each slot easily fits a set of five dpns. (I don't have any sets larger than size 8, so I'm not sure of the biggest size it will hold - at least up to 11, would be my guess.) It's well made of sturdy cotton fabric and rolls up nicely. The velcro attachment for the tie is a little weird - I'm not sure why you wouldn't just sew it on - but not so weird that it makes the case useless. I was a little worried about buying this because one commenter felt it wouldn't protect the needles, but I'm not sure where that concern comes from - the top flap folds down to keep the needles from even touching each other when the case is rolled up. I mean, if you want a case that would allow you to stop on or drive over your dpns, this is probably not that case, but otherwise I think it does what it says on the tin, so to speak. Love the color as well.

Perfect for a 14-size set of DPN's
I got this case for the full 8" set of carbonized bamboo DPN's I got here on Amazon (sizes 1 to 15), and they fit perfectly. The material and stitching seem very sturdy, and the width of the pockets is graduated to allow each size needle to fit easily. The top flap folds down to hold all the needles securely in place. While the case doesn't roll up as easily with the flap down, it's not much of a problem. The outside strap is detachable to allow the girth of the rolled case to change for storing different sized needles, but since the pockets are sewn to fit fairly specific sizes, I'm not sure why that's necessary. I may sew the strap down so I don't lose it.There are no labels on the pockets, and for me, that's not a problem, since I'm simply storing a full set. However, I've used painter's tape for labels on other fabric needle cases where I store my ad-hoc needles, and that works very well.

A TRUE NECESSITY FOR KNITTING NEEDLES
I am doing my best to create a much needed tool for my knitting needles. Given the amount of monies spent on acquiring good tools, an equally fine knitting needle case/carrier is needed. Cloth does not protect the needles. So if anyone can create this idea you will contribute , and most likely make money. I think something made of soft deer hide would protect and serve the purpose. I do not have the equipment, nor ability to create this much needed case. It might require more than one case. Imagine something stepping on, sitting on, dropping, everything encountered that breaks the wooden, especially rosewood needles and the tears that follow. Mending needles is not an answer. That is all I can think of. So keep me posted. Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention,.Patricia J. Gray, P.J. Today

Not what I was looking for
I ordered two of these and didn't realize it was a shorter length. when it arrived I put my longer knitting and crochet needles inside and the item was too short for the needles and the pockets where not long enough to old the needles inside. It would be fine if you had shorter needles to store. I ended up returning mine and ordering a longer case. Also, it's make on the cheaper side..

Needles keep falling out
I must not be using it right. It is made very well and I like the looks of it. It does hold my needles, but they keep falling out. Oh well, not really disappointed, though. It works for me :)

A Perfect Fit!
I am thrilled with this case! I had to wait two days to get the needles to try it out, but it is just as I'd hoped. It is true that the velcro closure isn't attached. I have been using a pin where the ribbon velcros to the case to make sure they don't separate. It's been working great.Another reviewer complained that the needles aren't secure. I ordered 7" double point needles to go in the case. The fabric overlaps by about 2" making the needles incredibly secure. I'd guess with 8" needles the fabric folded over would just about touch the top of the pocket. It seems like they would still be very secure when rolled.I did wind up ordering a set of needles that included a set of size 0 (2mm) needles. I was concerned that there would be no pocket for these, but guessed I could find some way to secure them. I was delighted to find that they tuck in easily behind the larger needles (11, 13, or 15). I have kept their original packaging to help keep them together, but this seems like a perfect solution!I love the fabric on the pocket. It is very sturdy and well-sewn. It rolls up compactly to fit in the fairly small basket of knitting tools and yarn that I allow to stay in the living room. I look forward to many years of using this!
