Love this mineral sunscreen, would re-purchase for future tropical vacations, like the one I took this to in Hawaii. For a mineral sunscreen, it's very liquidy- one of the easiest I've tried to spread on the skin, with almost no white cast. Also did not cause me to break out! I have a medium skintone (Y405 MUFE) and this does not make my fast look like a ghost so it's my preferred facial sunscreen, if I have to use a mineral one. The only bummer is that it's not water-proof, so I'll wear this on a tropical vacation where we're in the city and there's only a chance we'll go swimming later in the day. Gives me peace of mind on protecting the reefs.

Needed sunscreen to combat the burning sun in Mexico and decided to slather this all over my face. Big mistake, this made my whole face white and had me looking like a clown. Luckily I looked at myself in the mirror before leaving my room. I was shocked!! It was a great thing that I had a backup sun screen to put on my face and body. This is not made for any skin if it doesn't absorb into a clear coat. I had a good laugh when I looked at my face. I washed it off and didn't use this the whole trip. Too bad I ordered it well in advance of my trip so I couldn't return it.

Took to Cancun for a 10-day trip (along with 4 other types of mineral sunscreens). Was very easy to apply, clear and not "milky", tropical scent, and worked well at blocking the sun. It did have to be reapplied often (2-4 hours) due to sweat/pool/ocean. It is not designed as a "sport" sunblock and so perfect for lounging around the pool.Drawback: Although very compact, the clear cap pops off very easily and was more difficult than others to travel with (beach bag/backpack). It popped off several times so we ended up using a different kind of sunscreen when going on adventures.

My wife and I were looking for a “reef safe” sunscreen for our 12-day trip to St. John. After reading reviews, we got two 3.4 oz. bottles of Hawaiian Tropic Mineral Sunscreen SPF50.One of the criticisms of reef safe sunscreen is that it doesn’t spread well. And yes, this was a bit more challenging to spread. But it wasn’t bad, really, and it’s nice to think you might be helping the reefs, which helps the fish, etc.The smell was wonderful—a tropical, coconut scent. We loved putting it on just for that! We’d start every day putting on sunscreen before getting dressed, then re-apply if needed after swimming. The 3.4 oz. bottle meets the standard for carry-on, so it traveled well through the airport. We thought we might need to buy more on the island (where it’s significantly more expensive), but the 3.4 oz. bottle each of us had got us through the entire 12-day trip, and we used it daily. We even have a little bit leftover!I’m sure we’ll buy this again, even if we’re not going near a coral reef. It’s a great product, and it worked very well—we got plenty of sun, and neither of us was sunburned even once!

I really wanted to like this one but the water seperates from the product. So, you get a weird mix of white product with liquid on top and you have to work to mix them. It makes me nervous about the level of protection that I am getting from it.

This is the best 50 spf mineral sunscreen I have found! It really gives a barrier to prevent sunburn on the skin! I use this 50 spf sunscreen on myself my kids my husband! It stays on for a really long time! And on my horses with pink noses! The cream is light, a little watery in the palm. It feels light and is not sticky on the skin. The smell is lightly tropical, which are my favorite smells! It does leave a faint white color on the skin when you put it on. It does it’s job really good stopping a sunburn!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this two days ago, and received it yesterday. The box was damaged but that's no big deal. I opened it and put some on my hand, and it was SO OILY and congealed which is why i was purchasing another sunscreen due to this happening to mine. I waited a while for it to cool down, tried it again, same thing. It rubs out really nice but i don't want to put it on my face in the first place. I decided to order a replacement and see if i had accidentally left it outside too long, or something else had gone wrong and i received my replacement today.I went outside and grabbed it as soon as it was delivered. (Pretty fast shipping was nice) However, the box was damaged again, and the picture above is what it looked like. (same thing) Very disappointed, and as you can see the box is not the same design as the product info pictures and with everything taken into account and it being on sale for 6$ my best guess is they redesigned their product and they are trying to get rid of the old ones that are not that great. I will look to find this same product in store.
