Not good with audio books
This works okay, but it has some weird noise compression that causes it to not work well with audio books. Specifically, if you're listening to an audio book, whenever the reader pauses, the device cuts off the first syllable or two of the next sentence which pretty much makes it unusable.Works fine with music.

Great concept but there are too many bugs that prevent flawless function
First off, it seems to me that this Bluetooth receiver maybe one of those hit and miss type of products where perhaps there is a dud for every three good ones or something like that. That said, this is a great concept and, in theory, a way of avoiding excessive audio wires. What I personally found in my testing of this product were various aspects in which this receiver was good, okay, or bad, so I will examine and rate each of those separately for this review.Packaging (2/5):The packaging from the manufacturer (not the shipping envelope) of this receiver was disappointing as it did not feel robust enough to be containing electronics. Just a little paper box with no insulating foam or protecting materials. At least everything inside was undamaged and functional.Assembly and first impressions (3.5/5):When I pulled the device out and gave it a once over, it looked neatly assemble and no defects were perceptible. The plastics used feel cheap to the touch, but they do seem to be assembled sturdily. Both the USB and 3.5mm cables plug in securely and make good connections.Setup (5/5):The device included simple instructions to guide the setup process. These were easy to follow, but using this device is so easy to figure out, you almost do not need them. I was able to pair the receiver with my iPhone in a matter of seconds and did not experience a single error in the process.Music playback (4/5)The sound is definitely not as clear as a wired connection, but this is typical with Bluetooth streaming. The sound was at least not overly muffled or flat. Quality also depends on what your setup consists of. After trying the receiver with standard Apple headphones, I noticed little difference between wired and wireless. With high end home stereo speakers on the other hand, a greater reduction in the quality of sound was noticeable.Functionality (2/5):Battery life seems to be about 4.5 – 5 hours in my case which is fine, but is not the claimed 7 hours. With the product I received, charging the battery has been a more difficult endeavor. I have noticed that sometimes the receiver will look like it is charging while plugged in, but when I go back to use it later the battery is still drained. Other times, the receiver will not appear to be charging yet when put back into use, it is ready to play for hours. I also noticed that when you connect to the device successfully, it produces a very loud chime through the sound source to signal the connection. The same very loud chime is also heard when battery is low. It doesn’t just chime and turn off with low battery either. It continues to play the chime over your music until it dies or you do something about it. All this gets very annoying, not to mention startling, and I have begun to leave my sound source off until I know that the receiver is connected to my phone. So in summary, this Bluetooth receiver is an awesome concept and it is on the verge of doing what it is supposed to, however, it has several bugs that need to be addressed for better function and longevity of the device.
