Trigger Point, Acupressure, Deep Tissue Massage Tool (White)

I have been doing body work since 1991: I have been a physical therapist since 2000. My first teacher taught me how to save my body and thumbs when delivering body work. For years I used no extra tools, but recently my wife brought a Therapress home. Initially, I liked it, but was not sold; but when I used it on different body parts on my patients, I became a big fan. When working down the spine, next to the paraspinals, this tool allows me to go light or heavy, while allowing me to not use my thumbs. Some patients who require prolonged deep holds on larger muscles, like the glute max or lateral quadriceps, are easily treated with a minimum of effort, but with deep work and positive results. This tool does not replace my hands when doing manual therapy, but it does allow me to provide more treatment at less expense to my own hands and joints.

1. I specifically ordered "white" and I received an obnoxious "blue" color. Not returning it because it's not worth my time and effort.2. As far as functionality, it's okay. I feel the extension is a bit to long and prevents the user to press deeply into the tissue without it tipping. (acupressure in this case.)

My daughter bought this for me. I can work out the tight spots on myself. Anything that I can't reach, I have someone work on me with the TheraPress. Love the grip!- Don

I love this! I ordered it to work on trigger points on my feet. My thumbs get tired and this is a huge help.

Perhaps it is just my personal experience, but none of my clients liked the feeling of this tool.

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 24 years. I have used this tool for many years. It is extremely user friendly, and my clients can't even tell that I am using a tool. I am able to do deeper tissue massage and trigger point therapy which aids in the release of bound down tissue and trigger points with ease. The best feature of this tool is that it really prevents me from overuse syndrome of my fingers and thumb. I highly recommend this tool to anyone who is wanting to save their fingers.

Trigger point and deeper work have always been difficult for me. I decided to give the the TheraPress a try. The tool fits comfortably in my hand (I have small hands). It allows me to work into trigger points without hurting my thumbs. So far, none of my clients have complained . I am definitely pleased with my purchase.
