The reviews are all fake!
I would leave zero stars if possible. The listing had a 5 star rating and this fooled me into buying two sets of these. If you read the reviews then you see all the reviews are from people who got the product for free. What a scam.My kids are so dissapointed they have to wait days to play their new games.Dissapointed amazon would allow such a horrible product to be sold. It lights up but thats all it does. It doesnt charge the batteries it came with at all. Horrible product. I have started the return process.

LOVE this charger!!! Yes, it comes with the rechargable batteries!
This this is so great! We have rechargeable batteries but, guess what, i forget to recharge them! And I hate buying new batteries for the Wii remotes plus it's a drag when someone younger and shorter than myself is playing her favorite Wii game (We Cheer, FYI. Yes, she loves it) and the battery runs low or out and we have to stop and replace them. THis charger is so freaking awesome LOOK AT THE PRICE people!!! Cheaper than a kind of big pack of batteries!!!This plugs into one of the USB ports on the back of the Wii. You put the included rechargeable battery packs on the Wii remotes and just plop them into the charger. They fit with the wrist straps attached to the remote so you don't have to take them off/on each time you charge. The light glows red when the remotes are charging and blue when they're good to go. An added bonus is that we always know where the remotes are!I completely recommend this thing - i wish i had found it years ago!

It works, but...
This thing is junk. We stuck the controllers on the first time and had to shimmy them into place to get a good connection, then both sides lit up red. Great, they're charging! For a very short while....Then they turned blue indicating they were charged, so my kids started playing and they died within about 15-20 mins. So we put them on the charger again and they light up red....and, you guessed it! Only for a few minutes....then they're blue again. So my husband put a small piece of foil behind each charger and that got it to turn red again and charge the controllers. At least we hope. Either way, a huge headache and a huge waste of money.Update: The red light still does not stay on for very long, but if we leave the remotes on it does charge them. We just have to be sure they've sat on there for awhile. So while this product is not ideal and working 100% correctly, it is doing the job of charging.

A good, low price, AA-battery alternative for the Nintendo's Wii.
--[ SEE UPDATES BELOW ]--SUMMARY: So far, after 6 months of non-intensive use (the Wii is available to the children only at limited times) we have not experienced problems with this device, which has allowed us to recoup more than once its price given the current cost of AA batteries, thus justifying the 4-star rating. A longer cable and the availability of operational specs would have resulted in 5 stars.REVIEW (February 2017)I bought this device in August 2016 for an original Wii RVL-001 used by the children. The charger includes two sets of rechargeable batteries (for two separate remote controllers), each set consisting of two cells in series, 2.6 V, embedded on the plastic cover replacing the original battery cover of the Wii controller [Fig. 1]; a two-berth charging station with LED indicators; and a 16-inch cable with a barrel plug in one end (station) and a USB type-A plug on the other (power source). Its non-branded batteries are of the NiMH type. I did not receive this item for free or at a discount -- I purchased it from Amazon for the full amount it charged any other shopper at that time.1. The station is made of plastic and does not appear noticeably flimsy. It carries no brand name or manufacturing identification, but the device is identical to charging docks made in China and sold by Chinese exporters in other online stores for a little less money but a longer delivery time.2. To mount the cover with the embedded batteries onto the Wii controller, first fit the two little protrusions on the upper border into the corresponding holes on the controller's body (below the "B" button) and then press down --harder than you would think it is needed-- on the lower part of the cover until it clicks in position.3. To charge the batteries, connect the charger to a USB receptacle on the Wii or a cell-phone or tablet charger whose body has such USB output port. Then put the controllers on the berths, taking off any grips (we do not remove the straps; see below). The station lights change to red to indicate when a battery is charging, and eventually to blue when it is charged. NiMH batteries get warm when charging due to internal resistance; allow them to cool before use. If powered by the Wii, the station will only work when the Wii is on. (Consider using an extension USB cable, F2M, to keep the device in a place other than next to the Wii -- see #5).4. Before using the batteries for the first time, or after a long time of storage, charge them fully; often, peak performance is reached only 3-5 cycles of normal use afterwards.5. Dropping the batteries on a hard surface can severely damage them (another reasons for using the controllers' wrist straps).6. As several of the reviews have described, the controllers are often not fully secured on the berths and even small surface vibrations can jiggle their position on the berth, interrupting the charging process. Placing two relatively thick, elastic rubber bands around the base of the station (Fig. 2) can keep the docked controllers in place while charging with or without removing the security wrist band (Fig. 3).7. When the charger is powered but the docking berths are empty, the LED lights at the bottom of the berths are on, emitting a bright blue light. This short-wavelength light (predominant wavelength of about 470-480 nm) is annoyingly intense when located close to the Wii, and therefore close to the screen the players are looking at, and is known to affect levels of the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin more than other lights. To avoid this, we keep the charger away from the Wii and we have put pieces of transparent red photographic tape over each of the the berths' LEDs to act as red filters (Fig. 4, top). The filters do not interfere either with the charging of the controllers or with the red-light indication of their charging (Fig. 4, bottom).UPDATE 1 (August 2017)One year has passed since we purchased this charger for the children's Nintendo Wii. It has been working with no problems using the battery care approach described in the section below. So far, it has provided problem-free playing sessions, and the savings from not having to buy many pairs of AA batteries have amortized the charger's price long ago. I am quite happy with this purchase.UPDATE 2 (November 2017)Without warning or prior problem one of the embedded battery units ceased to function. I opened it (Fig. 5) to see if the two batteries could be replaced. The product description claims these batteries are "exclusively designed for the Wii Remote" but that is false; they are two NiMH 4/5AA batteries of 1.2V made in China, connected in series for 2.4V by a metal plus-to-minus bridge. Since the device has not been designed for a simple change of batteries, and obtaining and mounting them batteries every time one of them fails is too much of a nuisance, I have replaced this charger with a set of 2000-mAh, AA NiMH batteries that I can charge with a 'smart' auto shut off battery charger plugged to a mains outlet. Given the amortization of the device's price from the savings of not buying disposable batteries over 15 months, and since 3.5 stars are not allowed, I have decided to maintain its 4-star rating.--[ ADDITIONAL ]--<> NiMH batteries do not have a "memory" effect (so, unlike Ni-Cd batteries, they can be charged anytime without worrying about their performance and battery life even if they had not been fully drained). Thus they do not usually need "conditioning" (i.e., discharging and then recharging them) to recover full capacity.<> NiMH batteries can be damaged by overcharging as well as by over-discharging. Overcharging is the most common cause of premature failure, especially if charging for too long of a time or with charging rates higher than appropriate, or both. While there is no description of how this charger operates, the red-to-blue light indication that batteries are charged does not always happen at a fixed time suggesting it is not a 'blind' rapid charger (e.g., one that switches to a lower trickle charge after some fixed few hours at max charge rate ). There are no specs, however, on whether it keeps a trickle charge after blue light come on. This is relevant in terms of potential overcharging if you were to leave the batteries in the powered charger for a long time.On the other extreme, a complete discharge may cause reverse polarity in one of the batteries of a pair in series when that battery totally discharges before the other one, due to a difference in capacity between them, so the still charged battery could drive the discharged one into reverse polarity. There is a risk of permanent damage.<> To avoid these issues, we have not let the batteries become fully discharged; we have removed them from the charging station as soon as possible; and --given the rated capacity of 2800 mAh of each battery pair (Fig. 1) and the station's measured charge rate of ca. 285 mA-- we have not exceeded 10-11 hours as the maximum time to leave them charging.

Wont sync and company wont replace it.
We used this with one remote and had to order a 2nd one. Once the other remote came we put in the other battery and it would not sync. We thought that it was the remote so we returned it and got a new one. The new remote would. It sync either. So we tried normal batteries in the remote and it synced fine. That's when we discovered that one of the rechargable batteries blocked the syncing process. We found this put after switching out batteries and switching remotes and finally fovurrd out the problem on day 31. The waranty expired at 30 days.To say the least, I'm pretty pissed. It makes no sense that one would work fine and the other would stop the syncing process making whatever remote it's in completely useless.

"I was so hoping the other negative reviews were out of the ordinary...."
I loooved this charger; it was awesome, did what it was supposed to do, etc. I bought it on June 5th.. I loved it right up until it totally died. Dead. No spark of anything. I can't recommend it under the circumstances. It lasted less than 2 months.Bulk Sales contacted me and offered a replacement or a refund. I chose a replacement, which was DOA. Didn't work at all. Bulk Sales was interested in a better review, and suggested I "might" be able to get a refund. Then they stopped communicating with me. I would not recommend this item, or this company, since they keep selling it even though they know it has big problems.
