I have the smaller version of this massager, and this one delivers just as well. The head size is perfect for sore back muscles--particularly on stubborn knots. I found that using the lowest setting on the massager, and gradually increasing the vibration frequency delivered the best massage, and relieved tension well.I don't typically use pulse modes on massagers, but did have fun using the different pulse options, and did find a bit of relief on some stubborn thigh soreness using the pulse modes.I was a bit disconcerted to find that the instructions were poorly printed and confusing, but found a message in my inbox providing a clear list of instructions, which was a nice bit of unsolicited customer service.Although the initial charging time was a bit frustrating, the power contained in this massager was more than worth the wait. It has become a staple in my nightly routine.
