Don't waste your money.
I want to start by saying that this is partially my own fault. I should have known better than to buy this. The product description is poorly written. It says everything except what the consumer needs to know. The photos give no size reference, there is barely anything written about the battery and or how it is charged, and there was no information about the remote control until I asked a question. There is however a ridiculous football analogy that makes no sense and serves no purpose. This thing does not resemble any football, European, American, Australian, or otherwise. Their effort would have been much better spent on explaining how to use it. I don't know, but I would think that instructions might be more important than some reference to world suffering and football that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.I purchased this because it had a remote control, but I could not get the remote to work. I am not sure if I received a faulty remote or if I was just using it incorrectly. After wrestling with the battery cover on the remote for 30 minutes, I gave up and started the return process. There are some instructions on the back of the remote, but even with a magnifying glass I was not able to make sense of them. There was no literature in the box, and there was noting written on the box that could help me. I was at the point where I felt like I was going to break the remote if I pushed any harder.Anyway, written right on the box it says that this has a 2600 mah battery built in. Not sure why they would leave that out of the description. The light worked fine if I used the switch on the light. It wasn't 250 lumens though; I don't believe that for a second. I have a 35 lumen LED lantern that puts out the same amount of light as this thing does. So, if the remote control on this thing doesn't work, I have no use for it.

The light itself is really nice. Remote doesn't work, but who wants to remember a remote while camping?
I just opened this product, so my experience with it is obviously limited. I like the size and shape, it feels a little cheap, but they do advertise that it is light weight and floats, so I guess that makes sense. As the other reviewer stated, the remote simply does not work. I read the seller's response about some kind of plastic wedge, but I can't find it -- maybe if there were instructions either online or in the box? I am a fairly intelligent/tech savvy person, so one would think I could figure out how to activate the remote... nope, it's just broken. That said, I do not need or want a remote for a camping light, that is just another thing to lose or forget. It gives off pleasant light, and the actual lantern itself is easy to use. I also like the fact that it doesn't use standard batteries, as the lantern I'm replacing was lost to battery acid over the winter "off" months. Honestly, they should just forget the remote. The light is a good enough product on its own, and the remote is a POS, which makes the whole package look bad.**Note to seller** Post some instructions and troubleshooting online with a link printed on the light, drop the remote (which will save $$), and this product will take off!
